i ever read the novel, i dont really remember it, but... Spoiler: "childhood" when they were child, they meet. gaizel went to tistye country following his guard after his mother died and lost his way. he end up laying in front of a tower close to royal palace of southern kingdom where tistye lived (she hated by royal family bcs of her power and hair) she can listen to his heart, and know that gaizel was sad because his mom's death yet he didnt show it. Then she trying to comfort him and says something like 'how about i love u in your mom stead?' Hearing that, gaziel start crying (or that what i remember, im not sure) and comfortable with her. Thus she became his first love. Gaziel as the third prince, never thought of taking the throne. After listening to the news that tistye was sent by her family to northen kingdom to be emperor's concubine. Gaziel, by himself and his black horse, stop the power struggling between his brothers and become the emperor. only to make tistye his empress it suppose to be more dramatic, but i dont know how to make one. im sorry for my broken english, its not my mother tongue. and my first time using spoiler thread
Spoiler: party Gaizel has some business in a place, named isiris, a beautiful place so he decides to bring tistye too. for their honeymoon. He gave tistye a ring, with an emerald or green like jewel. in Yenzie (another powerful kingdom) it can only be exchanged between the royal family. Here, he teased tistye by calling her name so many times (before, he can't even call her name and tistye ask him to call her name someday.) and time for announcement party, Tistye appearance in the public for the first time. she is so beautiful that everyone in the hall is astonished by her, which makes gaizel jealous. He walks down the stair and takes tistye's hand. saying she is too slow, but his heart adore how cute tistye is and complain someone might fall for her Tistye introduced to Gaizel's aides(maybe?), there is Van, a childhood friend of gaizel, and his mom is from southern too. Luxen, this guy is crazy, he is loyal to the previous emperor than gaizel, he gonna make himself the emperor when gaizel away and last, Randi guy, he never shows up even until now, but gaizel always mentioned him. I always wonder where is he when the kingdom take over by luxen tistye dance with gaizel first and then with Van, under gaizel command. some of the lady mocking tistye origin, gaizel heard it, he wanna cut that lady's ear but stopped by tistye. gaizel tells her to go back to the palace for a rest. on the way to the palace, two guys gossiping about gaizel and compared him to his father, the previous emperor. Tistye interrupts. Out of nowhere, gaizel appear to escort tisye to his room, decide starting today, his bedroom is her bedroom too. she is embarrassed, but the previous gossips disturb her mind. 'there's gonna be another empress from yenzie' (logically, this yenzie empress must become the first empress, because yenzie is a strong kingdom) and then, Spoiler: he confess later Tistye convinced by luxen to leave the palace, or gaizel not gonna take empress from yenzie, which gonna make big trouble. in the southern kingdom, the royal family mocking tistye to thought gaizel care for her (but he loves her) and the first empress place never intended for her in the beginning. but in the morning, Gaizel comes and bring tistye with him. the emperor's seat is empty, here when luxen take over. they stop by an inn and use a room. talking 'why tistye suddenly go', she said, 'gaizel take her as empress because he pities her, she supposed to be a mere present for the emperor, she is not worthy of the first empress seat and anything else.' gaizel reply 'that's what you wanna say? I never take you out of pity, it because it is you.' tistye confused, and gaizel then said, 'when he lost his mother and with van go to southern, then he meets tistye, he can't shed a tear on his mother funeral, but tistye save him (by comforting him I guess, or make him cry) since then, he always want to see her again.' “—I love you. no one else gonna be my wife except you.” He confess. and... nothing really happens. Spoiler: run away emperor seat take over by luxen, that way, Gaizel and Tistye become wanted. they cannot go into the capital, instead they pursued by knight and manage to run away with help of tistye's maid and jumping from a cliff, its winter, so the snow prevent them to have a fatal injured, but I think the horse got injured. they are rescued by a couple of ppl, bring them to their place and give them a house. they are in isiris. but a little secluded. the name of the leader is dita, he is kind. Gaizel then learn how to hunting and here he kinda change his personality become more trust to other ppl and else. since hunting cannot be done by a person but by a group. Tistye help woman in that village to do thing, she need to adjust herself, the other woman are kind to her. one day, dita's daughter lost in the wood. all of the village trying to search. since dita cannot lead the man, gaziel take the lead. tistye trying to help with her 'hearting', even though gaziel tell her to stay at home. but its winter and dita's daughter could be freeze to death if they not found her faster. and she succes. the next day, dita and his daughter (i forgot her name, but its begin with a) come to gaizel's house, thank both of them. and then dita's daughter said to gaizel to marry her and make her the second wife which gaizel refuse ofc dita owe him one. (the daughter is kind, she is the one who always help tistye.)
Ok. I'll bite with this one as well. Did the kingdom suffer in some way since the one who replaced ML was described here as crazy? How does the series end/what is the final conflict? Any kids?
Spoiler yea, the kingdom will suffer, there will be an attack come from yenzie. luxen, that boy, betray his kingdom and make a deal with yenzie. he doesn't like gaizel who hate war, the opposite of his father. when yenzie attack the kingdom, van finally found gaziel and ask for help. later gaziel got the emperor's seat again. it haven't end yet. i think. they haven't got an official wedding.
I forgotten about this one. Too bad the ending part is so wishy-washy. Spoiler: Been a while I don't think she ever explained her gift. I just remember them hiding out in the boonies snow covered forest village and she hugged him to extend her gift so she could find the girl. I think there was a coup or something like the guy on his side finds them and tells him to come back? I can't remember much but I think he defeats them but decides to live half the time in the snow village cause they are treated not as royals
