Keeping the thread simple. Vote for the better anime movie between the 2. Your Name vs A Silent Voice DO NOT INVOLVE THE MANGA AND THE NOVELS. (but you can talk about it below) Me? Spoiler: My vote A Silent Voice I enjoyed Your Name, but I was emotionally invested in A Silent Voice.
I want to watch Silent voice but I have yet to do so I do find myself liking it more though... if I do watch it >_>
Kyoanifag here. The biggest thing you can say against silent voice is the fact that a lot of the characters are just there. Kawai=useless, redhead=useless, shouko's mom=couldve been the little sister and pedro=useless. Keit-ai gets my vote
I came across A Silent Voice manga years back and I couldn't get into it. And I've watched Your Name and I liked it. So vote goes to that~
If that manga was too heavy for you, do try the movie when you have the time. It takes a slightly lighter tone than the manga
A silent voice left a bit information out. If it were an anime instead and had every information like in the manga then it wouldve been 10 times better. I for example miss the movie making scene and the class reunion ending
That's exactly my friends opinion cause he read the manga before the movie. I went to watch the movie blind cause he invited me to join for the movie, and man do I LOVE IT. Ofc, for a manga reader. The movie is disappointing. As my friend said. Should have been a 4 hour movie instead.
Both is a 2 different anime movie, i enjoy A shape of voice, but i also enjoy your name, so i would say both... Also, please edit so i can vote both goddamnit...
i honestly dont care about both of them that much. silent voice is great in its own way but it doesnt have anything to move me really(i didnt feel anything for the mc guy so yeah). your name was a great drama and experience but not to much. both are quite different and same .
Koe no Kotachi I never watched the other one. But watching this (and reading the manga) was such an amazing experience.
Both are good, but i slightly likes koe no katachi fir the story. More characters explored, more emotions shown, and the character feels more natural.
