Non-Fic Yukkuri's Tale: When A Snake Visited The Public Health Center

    The perk of being in the rural equator Bornean Jungle.

    It was a very busy Monday at the Public Health Center where I work at.
    Then a Snake entered the Family Planning Room.
    The midwives stationed there panicked, since no one recognized the snake (most of us are city folks) and thought it to be poisonous.
    The relatively free male nurses from the Emergency Room were called as backup.
    I just returned from Cafeteria with a cup of coffee and see the disturbance.
    Together with the nurses, we chased the snake who hide behind the file shelves and exam tables (hard to capture it in cramped space). Some ask why not kill it, but some replied that the snake didn't have to die just because it had trespassed a human facility.
    After we succeed chasing it out into the corridor, I quickly went to find a plastic bag.
    Get a plastic bag on the Medicine Storage Room (it was the plastic bag for storing some salves).
    When I returned back with the plastic bag, a senior nurse, who recognize it as a non-poisonous snake, had grabbed it macho style and then he put the snake into the plastic bag.

    Epilogue:
    I wanted to release the snake a bit farther away, but alas, I am too lazy to do that. So, I just throw the snake back to the forest beside the Health Center. Then the ER Nurses complained that the snake would return.

    I think the snake won't return. Unless it disguised itself with a cardboard.

    Don't be racist toward the snake. Everyone has the fundamental right to get their health checked up.

    It looks like a rat snake. Most of the snakes I see at home can kill you in a variety of ways and the non venomous ones can still kill you

    We were banished, but we shall return!
    Now, serious. We had a snake in school when I was young. Only 2 snakes in our country and one of them is poisonous. Everyone can recognize poisonous one, so only some girls and stupid boys panicked. We caught it and chased everyone afraid of it until teachers took it away. Good times.
