IF YOU GET PAST CLASSICAL TERMS AND DUMB MC (but become clever and op in aroud 90th chapter) AND TRANSLATORS CHANGING THE TERMS THEN IT IS VERY MEANINGFUL, LOVLY, SAD AND CLASSICAL STORY. Translation is inconsistent due to change of translators.
good, this series really depict xianxia. its focus in taoism,buddism and mo no western refference. The novel keeps looking into a question "What is true righteousness?" "Heartless World, treat everything as stew dog!" -Book of Way and Virtue mc just your average villager thrown into a sect but learn taoism, buddism and mo he combine them all. a lot of classical refference
I would say it is by far different than most others. It is a nice story line. However, I felt after chapter 100, the chapters need to be accumulated since there is no fun in reading the sad parts one chapter at a time.
Pretty damn good (IMO) The only setback is that the early translation is not very fine . But if you are expecting something action packed and OP mc that goes around slaping faces ,harem ,etc..Don't read it It has tragedy , and it's slow paced. It's one of the few wn that feels like an actual book to me.
