Discussion Zombie Apocalypse

I have noticed that Im reading too much of zombie apocalypse novels recently and think that...
'what would I do if I was in one'

For me...I would first chek the surrounding for nearby zombies "Sneakily". Then close all the doors and windows...any openings. After securing the area, I'll commit suicide.
Surviving will be just a hard trial and Im not going to allow myself be like those zobies. Be infected. Getting a supply of food and water will be a pain in the future too. A common person like me had a high percentage of dying. Another thing we need to worry about is other people. Some will be stabbing you or betraying you just to survive....

So.....I wonder....how many of you will have the same thought

If the zombie apocalypse is walking dead level of zombie most if us can probably survive that shit easily...
But if it has mutant zombies like My Girlfriend Is a Zombie(CN novel),World War Z,Resident Evil etc. we are mostly likely fucked.

 

ill claim a 100% cuz i believe a cure would come fast enough and people arent as retardeed as they make out
secondly theres plenty of proof a zombocalypse wouldnt survive past a day or 2 people are too murderous for that

 

Like you said if it's World War Z style zombies we got about 1% of surviving..
they are fast as fuck and can scale and break most stuff

 

Even if there will be a cure eventually.....how many people do you thing have died? And I doubt I can even trust the scientist that invented it. For all I know...another scientist might also be at fault for creating and spreading the virus

 

Doesn't really seem possible in real life. Corpses don't really move that well. If supernatural powers exist though then it's a different story. Still fairly confident in surviving.

After all, there is more than one zombie fiction out there!

At least I have confidence that I will survive 50% if it's something like a virus infection Zombies... Since I was a man who once got betrayed by a lover, friend and family in the past! So, I wouldn't get back-stabbed when I didn't trust anyone!

However, I'm not sure if its cataclysm type where people fainted as mutation process! Because the one who failed transformed into Zombies, there's a possibility for me to change into zombies early.

I feel like to survive, you just have to make it past a year...unless somehow like in zombies Apocalypse texts, everything evolved a special ability and then it's just better to die at the beginning and suffer less

 

I'd only survive if I became an ability user and even then it's iffy, because that means the zombies would also have abilities.

Also, people would become hard to trust af. Other people would cause 90% of the problems in an apocalypse setting.

I wish I'm rich enough to buy an island of my own, at least it's customizable that way.

But in all seriousness, unless I can snatch a yacht nearby and sail to an island without people (assuming birds cant be turned into zombies). I wouldn't go suicide route, even if I have no chance I'd still try to take out as many as I can with me. I mean if you gotta go, might as well go in a blaze of glory!

As long as the zombies didn't get things like Resident Evil where they magically mutant into a pool of tentacles after getting infected, then I would survive and might not even notice the apocalypse. People would have destroyed the infection before it could overtake a city. Even if it could, information travelled fast, a lock-down would happen and nuke would be on their way.

 

Well zombie is up to how you define it.

Undead - This is quite easy to deal with, unless you are an individual up against a horde
(e.g. The Walking dead, Zombieland, Shaun of the Dead, Land of the Dead, etc.)

Viral Mutation - Next level stuff. The rate of survival depends on how advance the mutation is.
(e.g. World war Z, Resident Evil series, 28 Days/Weeks Later, Train to Busan, The Horde, I am Legend, etc)

In many cases I can see people surviving against undead, just because these things rely on instinct and motor mechanics of the body.
VS.
Viral mutations or something of that sort. Where the hosts of such a virus become superhuman, or rather due to something about the virus it negates the hosts pain receptors thus enable the viral being to do a large range of actions.
