Random tired shower thought #104: The term 'Living Dead' could theoretically considered a paradox because a zombie is neither living nor dead. They move around and do other things that living people do BUT they do not display the inherent signs of a living being, that is a proper consciousness and (arguably) a sense of self, no matter how small. ergo zombies are technically examples of Schrodinger's cat. They are neither living nor dead and exist in a state of flux. So calling zombies the 'living dead' is a contradiction in terms. I thus propose that zombies should be referred to as the Unliving because they are not living yet arent dead.
Zombies should be considered as 'dead' because they are not moving and doing things by themselves. They are doing it because they are ordered by something like virus in their brain. If anything that can move can be considered as living then mecha should also be considered as when humans are inside them they are able to move. Undead term is used for those who have died but their soul is still stuck in their bodies. Mostly undead are skeletons and bones. So undead and zombies are different things #myrandomthought When I read title of post I remembered a Character from Dr. Who TV show. It was called weeping angles. They are like sculptures whenever someone is seeing them but they are able to move when no one is seeing them.
Schrodinger's cat means that they would be both living and dead. If you were neither living or dead, you wouldn't exist. Or you're an inanimate object.
Ai-chan believes that this is a good time to share this documentary clip. The correct term is undead.
Schrodinger's cat is not a paradox but a uncertainty paradox which would collapse as soon as it is observed which would make a really anticlimactic zombie apocalypse movie.
Wow, i really come up with some strange shit when i'm super tired. I still think i was onto something though.
They are dead on the inside (organs) and alive on the outside (muscles) so that's why as a whole they are both at once. Whether the thing controlling the body is human or virus is a separate matter.
