So, a few posts ago, I gave myself homework.
  1. List down favorite artists
    - Make peg board of favorite artworks from each artist
  2. Study backgrounds
  3. Study landscapes
  4. Study anatomy
  5. Study eyes
  6. Study plants :cautious:
  7. Find out what I love
  8. Practice angles of faces
  9. Study values
  10. Draw, draw, draw

I finally have half of item 1 done. The peg boards are yet to be made  That being said, here is my list of favorite artists. Aimed for 10 since it seems like a good enough number. Listing down where they're from, their gender, and an itemized list of stuff I roughly like about their artworks. Also, a link to their instagram account if they have any.

@craBebe Oh wow!!! Thank you for the link! I took a peek a bit and I'm so excited to check it out fully once I get home. I know some of the artists you've listed and will be sure to also check the others when I have time. I've recently been considering the serious thought of finding a certain style in my drawings and so I've been scouring all over for inspiration. The link and these artists will sure help. Thanks again :D

Fellow aspiring artist! Good on you.

Not sure if you've been to this website before but I really wish I had found it earlier than I did.
      http://www.fusroda.com/resources

These guys have compiled an awesome collection of resources that if you're just starting out you would probably benefit from tremendously.

Some artists I'm not sure you've come across but are some of my favorites:

Even Mehl Amundsen: Also on your list, this guy's incredible. How effortlessly he makes his characters look is mindblowing, and the amount of story telling he includes is something definitely worth emulating.

James Jean: Just one of the best around, if you haven't heard of him he's been around a while and cut his teeth on the Fables covers back in the day. One of the absolute best.

Ruan Jia: Chinese goodness. Such fantastic color, value and texture to his work. One of the best.

Nicponim: Probably my favorite artist. I love the graphic elements he brings to his work alongside the dead palette, the perspective, and the character he brings to all his images. Such amazing composition ability and he's really modernized the old dutch master aesthetic.

Fenghua Zhong: Nothing quite describes this guy except the word 'epic'. The scale he's able to bring to his art absolutely blows my mind, so good. He's one of the few guys I've come across who can capture the scale that shows up in all these novels we read.

Tianhua Xu: Another Chinese Master. Just, phenomenal. His images all have something special in them.

Joao Ruas: Another Fables cover artist who just does weird awesome shit. So much polish, such a fantastic mastery of acrylic and value control. Amazing, amazing work.

Jules Bastien LePage: An old, old master. Died at 34. His values and edges are otherworldly, especially check out his Joan of Arc masterpiece. Just, next level shit.

Franklin Booth: If you truly want to see how far you can go in an image with hatching. One of the old time great commercial printers, really incredible mark making. If you have any interest in ink work definitely keep him in mind.

Bernie Wrightson: Same deal as Franklin Booth.

Good luck with the art! Hope this provides some inspiration!
