“Huh…?”

When Ecquria opened her eyes, she was greeted by the sight of her brother wavering on his feet from the hit to his cheeks.

Speer could also be seen in motion as she leaped.

What just happened? The answer was apparent to anyone who looked on at the scene before them – regardless of how surprised they may be.

“I will not forgive anyone for being mean to Miss Ecquria!”

“Wha…YOU! What do you think you’re doing!?”

Even as he sported a red handprint imprinted on his cheek and struggled to regain his balance, Rascudo quickly recovered his wits. His stern continence grew all the fiercer as it twisted in rage as he glared at Speer.

Any other child would have started trembling in fear and bawling in reaction.

But Speer simply crossed her arms defiantly and boldly declared her justice.

“Here, she was finally able to come home! After defeating many orcs and monsters. She put her life on the line, you know. And after all that suffering, she finally reaches home and then…..you’re too much! You’re a heartless demon! You’re a low-life despicable! Don’t you have any tears or blood running in your veins!? Even if you had your reasons, if you’re an older brother, you should’ve at least given her a warm welcome home first at the very least!!”

The rapid fire of words caused Rascudo a moment of pause as he retreated in the face of her fierce attack.

It had been inconceivable to think she would offer a rebuttal in such a manner. Perhaps it was his pride as the eldest son of the duke or perhaps it was his own nature, but he could not allow her, a mere slip of a little girl, to get away with derailing his argument!

“S..SILENCE! Do not interfere with matters that do not concern you!”

“I do too, have an interest in the matter! Miss Ecquria is my friend!”

“I’ve stated that it’s a matter regarding our House! A peasant girl like you should learn her place and not interfere!”

“I will not stay in my place! And I won’t get out of your way!”

And thus the bell rang, signaling the start of the match!

Speer and Rascudo glared fiercely at each other; their visage contoured in their anger. Neither willing to retreat from their stance.

Their glaring match continued until finally Rascudo could no longer stand it! He impatiently took the first step.

“Gaaahh, nonsense, I tell you! Never mind! Get out of my way!”

Rascudo reached his hand out to Speer’s shoulder, intending to shove her out of the way with a show of strength.

However, Rascudo ended up being the one that went tumbling down!

As he took a step forward, Speer’s foot shot out to sweep his leg from under him.

Just as this was happening, his other leg got entangled in the weeds. And the ground pulled the weeds along with his leg – in the opposite direction of the leg that went flying out from under him.

Yes, indeed. He did a leg split.

And to add insult to injury, a large rock just happened to be in a spot where it struck Rascudo - right between his legs.

“AAhhhhhwwww!?”

A shriek of pain echoed in the air.

The surrounding soldiers grew pale as the blood rushed from their face and they quickly drew their knees together guardedly.

Still, Speer would not be stopped!

Create an opening for attack and keep piling it on. It was the same method she used against the orcs.

“Wa..wait, Speer! Don’t overdo….”

Ecquria hurriedly attempted to stop her but by this time, Speer’s fist had already completed its trajectory.

Her small fist drew a beautiful arc as it smashed into Rascudo’s chin, rattling his brains. His eyes rolled back revealing the white of his eyes as he went crashing down.

It was so quiet a pin could be heard dropping.

“This proves that I was in the right. So, be sure to welcome her home warmly.”

……..no, really, there’s something really wrong with that logic there.

There was not a single person who would say it aloud, though everyone might have been thinking it.

Ecquria could only shake her head remorsefully.

She felt a bouncy, soft touch on her shoulder.

“Hmm? Oh, are you trying to console me?....But you know, YOU’RE ALSO PART OF WHAT’S SO BIZARRE!!”

“Puruu !?” shook Pururun as if to plead its innocence.

Ecquria’s loud wail continued to echo in the silence.

It's slow but busy today......
