I am usually lost for words when under pressure, my mind blanks out and I try to scrap up any sense of knowledge to try and power on. But sometimes this pressure leads me to be able to put my best foot forward and I'll just naturally sprout out nonsense that somehow makes sense.

Being lost for words is no fun when in an interview. So I try my best to prepare and not be overwhelmed by the stares. Over preparing for any event is better than looking like the fool who got lost on the way to the coffee shop next door.

There was one time during a presentation that my mind completely blanked. I stumbled over my words and forgot what I was going to say. At that time I felt embarrassed but somehow sloughed through and finished the presentation with my group. To this day I don't want to think back to that time. Sure it was a good experience because I worked harder on all my other presentations, and ended up doing well in that class. But somethings are better left forgotten.

Words are essentially used to communicate our ideas to other people, in terms they understand. We may find the meaning obvious, because those words are something we use in everyday life. Others may not necessarily understand what the speaker is saying. If you want to look smart, nodding could work...maybe. Well until they decide to ask you questions and you don't know how to answer them.

Twisting your words to sound smart.
Proudly staring down at them to see.
Confusion swirling in their eyes,
Lack of understanding,
Beyond the sea.
Use layman terms,
That all can understand.
Dictionaries can only do so much,
When your words get out of hand.

Aw thanks @yuzuki ~ Whenever I write I ramble on and then go off track.

It's frustrating when you have the word in your mind and you can't remember it. I usually go through the alphabet trying to find the word I was thinking of. It usually words haha~

Mm especially when so many people are watching you and you can feel their stares as you try to remember the next part. Being the center of attention is daunting sometimes.

I always look forward to reading these @BlancFrost! Keep it up!

Blanking out happens to me a lot too... except for me, it's losing a word I have at the tip of my tongue and I can't think of it.

Also I've completely blanked out at a piano recital before, and that's embarrassing.........
