No, more like "adventurers" kind of thing. A general term for someone who has a class / profession. Sort of like "Professional"

    Let's say you're a level 10 warrior or something, so you're a level 10 "professional".

Everybody has a class/job whatever technically so nobody would use a term for people who have jobs and those who don't. Only a few games allow you not to have a job like Ragnarok and even then you get assigned a base one.

WMW calls it Profession, although Class would've been a better fit imo

@Riftwalker ok so what do you say when there's lots of people with different classes and what you're interested in noting is their levels. e.g. "Professionals over level 10 or higher."

@RynDeeVuo the thing is, it's not about class/profession/vocation etc, it's about Professional, "classer", "practioner", or something like that. A person with a class.

@L4 maybe I'm just not making myself clear enough, but I'm looking for if there's a way to call someone "A person that has a class" e.g. a "classer" if you will.

I'm not sure if there actually is any word for this, so anyone can feel free to just come up with something that would work if they can.

@Katsono this is just something I randomly thought of while reading and it basically said "people with professions" instead of a word for it.

I never said there is any for it, that's basically why I'm asking what would you call it.

So you want to invent one? Then I think you should use a more fantasy term, because it doesn't have any sense from a technical point of view.

@Katsono What doesn't? I'm giving examples of what it would mean, not what it would be called. If I had something I wouldn't ask?

I'm getting a bit confused, and it seems you're upset for some reason or something...

There doesn't have to be an answer to this, it's just something I thought of...

Of course if someone does think of anything I would like to know~~

honestly I would go with something more like "ranker(s)", but it doesn't exactly fit with class, unlike classer, but classer doesn't sound like something an NPC (person from fantasy world from their perspective) would say.

At least I don't think so.

I was saying, there's no logic in having NPCs with classes and others without, from a technical perspective. It'd never happen in a real game

Now if it's a fantasy universe or something then yes, but then the word wouldn't be a technical one, based on technical terms like class, profession, etc. So you'd use something like awakened instead.

Ok so I went back to check what it was I read since so many people got interested / riled up, and this is basically it (originally MTL that I edited a bit to make sense):

"among them at least over half were high level Class." So what would you call "class" here? e.g. Classers or Rankers, etc.

I think you can just say classes as in people with classes anyway. Just like how you can say a lot of professions.

@Katsono @Riftwalker it's not really that simple since every person has a class, even if they're just a "commoner", but you wouldn't call that an actual class unlike warrior / mage / rogue etc.

@L4 that's because MTL is bad and didn't translate "person" since it didn't know what to do with it.

If everybody has a class then there's no reason to have a word for people with classes if there's nobody without classes. Maybe you want to say something like "fighting classes"?

And I'm not actually translating anything, I'm just reading, and while I was reading I just randomly took note of it.

of course I could understand that Class wasn't just class as I read, so I had no problem reading it (I am reading MTL in the first place after all, that's the least of your problems with MTL)

I just thought of what it would have been if someone actualyl did translate it

It's not about being negative, it's about the label existing only for a group of people to identify to it.
