Because the norm is that you don't leave work early, and if you do, there are consequences. So if you break the norm you feel this feeling.

Try leaving work early every single day, and if you still have your job by the end of the month, you will notice that your norm has changed. Now if you don't go early from work, you will feel frustrated.
