Are all chinese authors perverts? Or do I just have bad luck/choosing skills? In the first novel I worked on, fapping, sex, voyeurism and flashing was mentioned every other chapter at least. In the next one, there was BL. The one after that, was bordering on rape and/or necrophilia. Then this current one, there's apparently a guy buying something made with the virgin and menstrual blood of 9 women called "Tower of Virgin Blood Peach Blossoms" to fuck women. And none of the novels were smut. This last one doesn't even have a romance subplot btw the title's my April Fools joke the thread is serious...
Next time you might wanna read a few dozen chapters before deciding to seriously translate. That should solve the problem, hopefully. But yeah, a lot of chinese novels can be like that. Edit: I think the third novel's name was pretty self explanatory. If you still picked it up, can't blame anybody else !

Why don't u read the novel first before translating it? Or read ahead till 10-20% at least before confirming the project?
Isn't yellow stuff pretty prevalent in quite a lot of (crap) novels? Excuse my opinion, but I see this stuff in crappy JP/KR novels as well. Are the Chinese novels simply not just, well, worse?
