LCD Akuyaku Tensei Dakedo Doushite Kou Natta. (ELIZA)

I thought of making battle map for these chapter. Hope it can help understanding the chapter better.

Spoiler: The Map of ch. 143-144

Battle of Jugfena Great Plain, The 5th battle in Rindarl Arxian War.

In Year 617 of Ar Xia calendar, a battle broke out between 30.000 strong Densel Dukedom army of the Rindarl Union and 48.000 strong Arxian Royal Army east of Jugfena fortress. The battle further intensified by the usage of new weapon by Densel "Arrow" formation.
The attack of Arxian left flank are countered and steadily pushed back by Densel right flank. The ensuing chaotic melee of the Northern formation continue to extend further nearing the central formation. Suddenly, Eliza Kaldia Einsbark and her 250 man logistic unit found themselves isolated behind enemies line.

The grim situation proved to be of beneficial nature. Presented by an ideal location to attack the exposed flank of Densel "Arrow" formation, Her Ladyship Kaldia ordered the charge. Lord Eliza herself led from the front, charging with her trusted draconis and halberd in hand. Suddenly plunged into melee Densel "Arrow" formation quickly destroyed by the Kaldian charge. The charge also put the Densel Central formation into disarray. Deemed satisfactory Lord Eliza called the charge off and signaled the retreat back to the Arxian army.

Seeing another golden chance, Knight Claudia Rolentsor advised to attack the rear of Densel right formation and surround the remaining enemies. Lord Eliza promptly accepted and ordered her knight's advice. The second charge that ensued quickly destroyed Densel right formation and routed their troop. In the middle of this encirclement Lord Eliza's acquired her first war achievement.

Heck yes! New chapter of eliza! Eliza is going on badass mode with those prisoners. Although it sucks that she have a bad reputation.

I've gotten myself used to quick pace update by reading Swamp Girl novel translation by bitgray. He is a monster that consistently update everyday at the same hour and sometime with extra double release.

New battle coming? I hope I can turn it into a map too. This small scale defensive battle will be a blast for sure. With forest of corpse and choke point, Eliza's terror will shine in full.

I'm surprised Eliza was so amazed at the situation she didn't even hear what was the reason for her promotion!

It's nice seeing how merciless she is becoming to the enemies, while still being friendly to the people she love, she really grew a lot from her time as a kid! \(^^)/

Wow... Reading all that was... Eliza truly knows how to make people hate her...

It's nice seeing how she can pretend to be all evil when she is almost throwing up though, shows how human is her character, really lovely!

 

At first I was eager to make a map.
But this is not a battle.
It is a show. It is a show of spirit crushing and humanity trampling.
All in the name of Victory. All in the name of her citizen.
Now I'm assured of her capability to face future challenge.
For she is not those who fight monsters. Eliza is the one who use monster!


That is for the melancholy.
The real underlying reason is there is not enough unit maneuvers, information of OOB (fyi, Order of battle) and how many troop there are. It's better to make a fan art for these chapter (I can't though). To visualize the show than to explain the fight.

But yeah, Eliza's goal of becoming a monster for them is surely nice!

In a defensive we should become the monster. Because we are fighting for something that we doesn't want to lose. Our home and family. The hell with our enemy.
In an offensive we should become the paragon of justice. We should shed more of our own blood, sacrifice much of our dignity and pride. Because we are fighting to add new home and family to our existing home and family. Broken and angry citizen is only an obstacle to the progress that we sought after an offensive warfare. While content and happy citizen is a boon to anybody.

 

Your POV makes sense IMO, my life matters more than the one of the people that wish to kill me, so being a monster that stops them doesn't seen like a bad strategy overall.

Ideally, we'd have no fights at all of course, but that's a bit too much.

I think the smaller the fight is the better in this unideal world.
