Discussion Animation - The King's Avatar(Quan Zhi Gao Shou)

.gif works ! Really nice (I need a gif of Ye Xiu sleeping hahaa !) I used a Dailymotion link to watch ep.1, got trouble finding a link to an english subbed episode 2 (but I guess it doesn't matter since I read the whole novel already, I just wanna watch the fights!)

The only parts that weird me out are the 3D models used for typical "crowds". Uugh, I hate when they mix that in. Having read the manhua for TKA too, I'm really glad with how the characters turned out although I really the Manhua style over the Anime one. Ye Xiu looks much more mature and his Lord Grim character exubes the "noob" feels better with the mismatched equipment.

 

The clip of him sleeping pretty short, and there's not much movement since he is, uh, sleeping. xD
I'm glad they work tho!
The weirdest 3D stuff is when they've JUST entered the spider cave and how the 3D animation started from the spiders to Ye Xiu and then the animation switches to a 2D Ye Xiu. That was pretty unnatural, but I'm completely enjoying the rest of the animation ^^

Size restrictions are tough on gifs

 

i must be slacking on anime I didnt know the anime adaption came out lol

 

The animation isn't the best we've seen, and they skip quite a bit of the plot in the books so that they can push the story forward, but I'm at ep 4 and Steamed Bun Invasion's intro is A++++ xDDDDD

i was pleasantly surprised how nice the voice actors were! i really like their voices . the animation is nice too~

but i feel like if you didn't read the novel you might be a little confused

 

I don't think it is a problem.
I watched it together with my friend and he was thinking of GLORY as WoW, so it works

 

I haven't read the novel but the anime is making me want to read it.......

I wish they use manga character design instead of anime

MC looks really pitiful in Anime, while he looks pretty confident in Manga

 

I actually dropped this story a long time ago, but I picked it up again because of the anime XD.
I'm going on strong onto ch 488....
But I feel like this story will play out better on anime since the battle scenes/tactics (90% of the novel) becomes eye candy on anime.

But at the same time, the story has characters talking through chat windows a lot. It's amusing to read in the story, but seeing two characters going back and forth in the chat window while watching anime seems not that creative.

 

I saw many novel fans complaining about the battle scenes and tactics being too eye candy and not explained...I kinda feel there could be more explaining too.

It has now episode 5, right? And I'm still stuck at episode 2. XD i haven't watched it cause i'm too lazy orz
