Discussion Does anyone else feel like there are no good novels left to read anymore?

I have been reading novels here for around 2 years and it feels like there are no good stories left to read anymore. Newly picked novels aren't good enough and can't be compared to the older novels of this site. Maybe it's just me who's saturated but does anyone else feels like this too?

 

If you mean just the from the translated ones, I dunno, but overall definitely not. I have so many novels on my shelves I need to get to, and there are many webnovel gems waiting to be discovered. I think what it is though is once something gets popular, similar things come out after it to try to capitalized on that popularity. Many are not willing to try translating something different for fear that it won't do well with readers. Perhaps you're just burnt out on what you've been reading and should try a completely new genre and medium.

 

laying off the novels for a couples days might help and if you do lay off the novels there's a chance you can get a a life.. good luck

Every month around 2-3 good novels appears

 

I do try to read the novels which are dropped here as well by using systranet. The only novels which I am really interested in right now are DTOPB and AWE. Up to date with those novels with raws as well.

I don't really read them anymore, just check out the new chapters of AWE and DTOPB.

 

well, i miss JP light novels (the one with good plot like the old one).......nowdays 80% are just WN and are all about sex,rape, usless harem or boring slice of life......

 

Not really, I think QI kinda ruined the qualities of novels that were usually picked, I just see a long list of chapters released of QI on the home page and none of those novels are interesting enough.

 

for Chinese nope, but there is many Korean Novel that is intristing tought (the one with Romance tag).

I started looking at series ranking recently and ive been pleasantly surprised so far, i've got quite a few good reads from them.

 

JP novels are too moe for me...

I have read I am monarch,gave it up due to the stupid exclamations and moaning throughout the chapters. Only interesting Korean novels were King Shura and The King Of Battlefield, too slow speed for translation.

 

Kinda losing interest in lots of novels. Not the novels' faults. I just feel bored in general~

 

I have finished many novels on LNMTL. Desolate Era, Wu Dong Qian Kun, Hail The King etc. Only go there now to read the latest chapters of AWE and DTOPB.

I have been finding some novels that are really good, like "He is the legendary guard" or "Life Howling" or "Hunter of the ruined world" or "Nine Yang Sword Saint" or "Way of the Devil" or "Praise the orc" or "Book Eating Magician"
All new some with 10 chapters others with almost 100, but less than half a year being translated

 

Same, it's like the same plot recycled again and again. You can accept it upto a limit but I guess the limit is broken.

 

LOL no, its just you spending way too much time on a single genre of novels, you eventually get sick of martial arts novels when you read too much of them. Take a break and diversify, go try some western novels.

 

I can relate I've kind of experienced both with manga and anime, but I just like reading a good book or novel in this case.

 

Well I don't read any Chinese novels last month.So don't really know any novel from there except novels that came from wuxiaworld.U can try out some Korean novels if u are tired with Chinese.there was a time I read only Chinese novels that take action in modern days but tired quickly becouse those guys like there unique martial art,medicine etc to much.And those themes about Japan and Korea makes me vomit.
