If someone plays the game for the first time, which hero would you recommend them and why? I can recommend Lion. His Q, impale is an AOE stun in a straight line. His W, Hex can transform and opponent into a frog I think and will be disabled for several seconds. His E, Mana drain will suck the more mana from a enemy target the more you level this skill up His R, Death Finger will nuke a shitton of damage on a single target. It's like the item in the shop called "dagon" only more powerful, and when you get an aghanim's scepter, his death finger will become an AOE @DollHead @Frozen ink Lion Also for beginners I can recommend Null Talisman + Tango, it will make last hits (and denies) easier as well as give great stats and improve your mana pool, which you need to spam spells and is the basic build since 10 years, so it is 100% trustworthy xd After that if you don't know what to do get power treads, and if you know how to use the magic stick(or wand) then get it Good Luck Have Fun!

I havent tried dota2 yet but if its Dota1 then i recommend either Tiny or Gondar. Gondar with battlefury, buriza, the hammer with minus armor and the armor with minus armor debuff aura. Tiny with aghanims, tarasque, dagon 5, and the weapon that grants invisibility. *forgot the names though.
easiest carry juggernut easiest supp CM, tho you will die a lot.... most fking annoying Riki/techies insta gg midas jungle lc

Because Lion can kill heroes but not the objectives or buildings that efficently They can stack up the disables and nukes well with some auto attacks, true If you say Zeus, they can always get a hood of defiance Versus huskar you need a physical dps-heavy line up, but a stunner is never bad to make armlet toggle hard and prevent huskar from getting of his heal clinkz can pick of all kinds of squishy heroes, you will have to get sentries and dusts actually morphling might go both ways, as lion is also a morphling counter, due to hex and mana drain, which both can instantly remove morhling's ultimate that's true, he will throw your spells back at you, but you also need disables to catch him, so it goes both ways again but then again, lion is a ninja, you gotta get that blink dagger and catch them offguard imho hmm
There're Carry, Support, Jungler (Optional), Offlaner Also 5 position (Farm priorities), 1 is the highest (should get all cs as many as possible, this position usually in safe lane guarded by support), 2 is usually midlaner, 3 is offlaner, 4 is roaming support (i think), 5 is the one who buys support items like ward sentry smoke etc.
In league my little brother told me that bot lane has 2 people, one support and one carry. Mid lane and top lane are solo while there is always a jungler. Dota has offlane, support, midlane and carry. In dota there are also trilanes, which means 2 supports and one carry on a lane, which you won't see in lol. Also there are often no junglers and sometimes dual offlanes or trilane offlanes, it has more variety than league laning situations ^to comment above, yes there are 5 positions 1 - carry(safelane mostly) 2 - mid 3 - offlane 4 - greedy support/sometimes jungler ( will buy items for himself) 5 - hard support (will buy all the support items, wards, smokes, chicken(courier), dusts, sentries, gems and so on)
I HATE LION!!?? even in Dota/warcraft 3 or Dota2, whenever i play int/support whoever playin that hero must be targetin me first. and i always die before aware that he near my hero. orz
Jungler in Dota can punish the team that have Jungler after all (in early game) Trilane (2 Support, 1 carry) 1 support would draw jungle creep to lane so lane creep would hit them and denying enemy of exp
must huskar idiot don't invest in bkb so an extra stun always helps but majority of the time lion gets raped a morph replicate is usually used to as either escape or bait a lion usually never meets one unless hes a yolo blink dag player who jumps in stuns hexes and gets rape majority of the time also all it takes is 1 shotgun to get lion down usually less.. AM is annoying as it reflects skills based on the skill so buffed items like agha and shit don't count but when lion uses a spell he becomes 100 % vulnerable so its usually a hero like es ,tide , or beast master who commit the stuns hood got nerfed hard it takes two of zues spells before its gone
yeap, if the opponents notice that and choose to do so, and then the jungler has to play more careful which can ruin the enemy's ganking attempts
