I can't follow translation that are not daily (only one). This is because I do not get into the story if I have to wait some days for the chapters. Most of the time I acumulate them for sometime, but then I can't find the chapter where I left the novel (my browser history just deletes itself after some time and I am too lazy to search why, but not write this...), and if I find the chapter I get my self forgetting almost all about the terms and names of the story, and when I read the glossary I notice that it only has the terms and names of the start of the story, most of them beign completly useless in the new chapters. Because I know that I can't follow translation, I do not read any novel that has less than 100 chapters translated. Of all the novels I read I just follow four, three of them having more than one capter per day, and the other one I follow it because is in a cool part (most likely I will never read it again after that part is over) This is my curse and I wanted to share it.
Well, congratz on your first post, now that you made a Novel updates account make a Reading list, you can put checkmarks on the chapters you're on so it keeps track of everything you've read and what chapter you're on.
http://forum.novelupdates.com/threads/reading-list-tutorial.3120/ Here is the link to help you create a reading list.
I just read ebooks i made myself... So I never had this problem as my ebook reader automatically saves last read chapter..
The part about translations stopping for a while then you try to connect with the story after a Long wait for the next chapter... same
Lol try go to the setting of your browser friend. If you are too lazy to do something like that, you definitely don't want to make a reading list here.^^ Throw the @lazy @Person to the bin and just fix your browser or make a reading list.
Lol back in the day, the translations are monthly, weekly if we're lucky >_> And dude, just use the reading list =_= If you forget about the story, go to novel's LCD and ask someone to summarize the events for you
Yeah, I already try some stuff, I didn't want to go too much into detail because I thought people wouldn't really read it, but I guess I was wrong. And I guess you are rigth I will go for the reading list thank you
One word: Patience, young padawan. You young'uns are so hot-blooded from reading all that daily xian-xia and donation chapters, that you had forgotten the essence of fan-translation back then, it was essentially just a bunch of fan translating for fan, so even if it slow, it will be alright. We are all fan after all. While waiting for new chapter, we mostly discuss the event of the chapter with each other, predicting what will happen next, delve into the character psyche, criticizing the story/plot, posting bad meme, linking loli images or engaging in OTP ship to ship combat, or just recommending new WN we found to each other. Just go to syosetsuka (the guy who translate Death March) and see the comment section. That is basically what we do back in the Shieldbro and Konjiki days......
