If that guy could do all that delicate work in such a short time using his energy, couldn't he have done Li Yao's part too? And why hadn't he started to do it until after Li Yao showed up and started showing off? Couldn't he have analyzed and begun repairing it long before Li Yao even stood up from his seat to come help? Or is there some reason that he couldn't use his energy to examine it, even though he could use his energy to repair it?

Also, if they actually get that weapon to form a chain reaction with the storm like they're trying to, how do they expect to protect the train from it? Its not like they'll have any control over the blast at that point, and I doubt the protective glyphs were designed to take a blow that strong, especially in their current condition.

 

Hint: weapon is in one of the final train cars.

 

1) MC would still die in that case, which is impossible and 2) the area the attack would need to cover is greater than the length of the train, so the trains length, or the car's position within the train, wouldn't really matter.

 

1) Why would MC have to be present while the cannon is firing?

Yes, and I'm sure it already is, as is the beast tide. If it misses the train for that reason, then that means it'll also miss a large chunk of the tide. Unless of course the train isn't moving, in which case, it can't move without repairs, as there's no reason for them to stop if they don't absolutely have to.

It seems that the author forgot that they were well within the range of that attack. He didn't even bother to mention how they survived :/

I wonder why it would take an entire 3 minutes to kill all the passengers when something like that can kill 50k/hr. Are there really 2500ish people on the train?

I'm surprised that they can even fire one shot, even after putting in absolutely everything that they have. Are Core Formation cultivators really so weak?

 

So now they are going to sacrifice the Psykers Cultivators to the Astronomican Railgun?

Also as someone who knows nothing about warhammer. I thought the enemies were demons from another dimension.

I seriously doubt that was the case as the setting is completely different in every possible way.

If there was some inspiration drawn from WH40k then it was only in the vaguest of senses rather than the blatant plagiarism you often see when people say they were "inspired".

Anyways, to answer your question. the enemies are most definitely not demons from the warp.
They are animals mutated by bio weapon virus created by ancient humans. honestly if anything they were inspired by orcs rather than daemons

Read the chapter like 2-3 times ;w;

 

Even if that guy survives this, I doubt he'll meet a good end. The reinforcements are more likely to kill him than save him, and its hard to say how swift or kind his death would be. Its strange to read a series where cultivators don't take it as natural to agree with him though.

I wonder if the MC will step in and save everyone at some point? It seems highly unlikely, but it just such a common occurrence in these stories that I can't dismiss the possibility.
