    Martial God Asura. This story swings between really good and infuriating. The MC, Chu Feng, used to be more annoying but he's mellowed a bit by now.

    The descriptions are stupid sometimes ("There was a man in a robe. It was not a yellow robe. Nor was it a blue robe. It was a red rode. The man was wearing a red robe.") and there's endless gushing about the MC for really stupid things ("Chu Feng had added to 4 to 4 to make 8. The crowd was shocked. They could not do that calculation themselves. Chu Feng was truly smart. He was truly wise. They felt admiration for Chu Feng from the bottom of their hearts.") etc. etc. Over and over.

    But the story's also really satisfying... lots of getting stronger and stomping arrogant or evil assholes. I enjoy that :D

    For me, guilty pleasure is just half a step away from Hell-No.
    Once I consider something as guilty pleasure, I admit that there is sth I don't like, and mostly that sth turns the whole story into garbage (for me).
    Mostly guilty pleasure is a state that only exists for up to 2 chapters at a time, b/c after that I either consider said chapters as irrelevant for the plot, or just trash the whole novel.

    Here's my last guilty pleasure novel that I read @Lets raise my female cousin who woke up from vegetative state after 10years into a meat slave! Yes I'm one of the degenerate low-life scumbag that can't resist his curiosity searching for a new taste then got heavily hooked damn I can't stop this sensation see you in hell author of that novel :D

    guilty pleasure is something that you enjoy- but you're ashamed to admit it.

    for me that would be the 200 or so pages of ATG. i enjoyed it- but i'm not proud that i did.

    Not necessarily ashamed but that you feel is of poor quality or seen as strange can count. Though lots of people are ashamed of liking things they think people perceive as weird
