Well I think most of the english official translated light novels in america are going to be based on popularity for availability. But the only one I have bought that felt special was Goblin Slayer. A serious protagonist and side characters who like him not for his strength nor his knowledge but his dedication. Also I sort of had to buy it since no one was translating it or it was just starting to be translated on novel updates.

Yeah, I love buying and having books too... but there is just not enough room to keep it all.

Tho I don't tend to re-read LN so I don't buy those. And my local library tends to buy every translated ever published so... yea, I don't buy LNs... I bought a few cook books tho, lol.

I don't re-read pretty much anything, but I still buy them anyway.

Last time I read something I had already read was when I had ran out of books to read at home, was 13 or so and was grounded for 7 months without access to any electronic device... It's been a while.

Libraries where I live don't have pretty much anything I want to read though, so there is also that.

Well yeah, my parents weren't that nice in giving punishments...

Honestly, I missed my childhood that they just took a slipper and hit me a bit with it... Was far less painful than 7 months away from the PC/videogame/TV...

I couldn't even play the gameboy color! >.<

At least you had fun during that time!

    - DanMachi
    - Durara
    - Spice & Wolf
    - Log Horizon

Each 'volume' cost around 18-20€ but 2 volumes raws = 1 published.

Hmm in regards to NGNL it's pretty similar but does have some minor cast changes. The lady Sora does a royal flush against in the anime is actually a guy. Not to many changes though so far. Even though I have Volumes 1-5 Im generally to busy with other series to continue reading it. Haven't really watched Overlord so I'm not sure how it differs from the LN.

Btw the LN of code Geass is rather messed up. I have gotten to it yet but apparently
the mother of Lelouch wanted Lelouch and his sister to have sex and make a kid. Supposedly their kid would have been very powerful and could make Lelouch's dad and moms plan come to fruition or something like that

I have bought a bit over 20 Light Novels, I wish to buy some more in the near future as well.

I don't particularly mind having to pay the big price of imported books, as long as I can read them, I am fine with it.

This thread made me realise how many people don't actually have the privilege of purchasing hard copy books... :O

Guess I should do some donating sometime
