    As much as I really like her, and would prefer that she didn't die, let dead be dead, if for every person that dies, the novel makes someway to revive them, it would the sense of drama, danger, etc.

    bah...Er Gen dropped the ball with the crowd of haters. >_> so meaningless, disrupted the feels.. Pill demon and Wang guy were the only people that mattered.

    PS. He knew what she gave up to help him, he knew she was injured, but rather than go see her, he avoided her and then went around harassing people for money. So forced. Even if it would be awkward, for a guy who will take on a bridge just to help one random guy who gave him alcohol, this was just bullshit.

    Don't you think it's possible that it come from the Meng Clan ? Remember how the echelon member from the 8th mountain was hating the Meng clan, if the people from the clan play with souls that could be understandable... (Well I still doubt this theory but who know)

    what is it with love interests and getting their souls harvested?

    Now that you say it, it happen quite often huh...
    I guess we will also know what is his mother's status in the Meng Clan now. It should be a very high status since his two Grandfathers who helped him when he was young were very strong, but the fact that she was able to get married in another Clan, in another Mountain make it hard to say how high it is (if she was that important she wouldn't have let her go that far I think).
    The Meng Medallion he found will be useful too.
