I read IRAS. And i only read it for that one chapter of face slapping which comes after a ton of what i consider filler chapters and other consider plot.

How long do these chapters go on for, the last 3 has been the exact same thing. Once was good, the rest is now filler.

 

So author has dropped IRAS I just noticed or was it always a dropped novel? Honestly dropped status always make me want 2 read novels less.

 

Not dropped, banned by SARFT. Once it's unbanned, the author will continue writing. It has been banned once before in 2014 (around chapter 500)

 

Back then, it was for sexual content (hence, the redacted chapters). The author redacted all the raunchy stuff and also changed Zhang Ye's personality. After many months, it was unbanned. Likely something similar will happen.

ok Im a new reader of this novel... and I have a few problems.

Isnt that a different world? different artist different stars different etc.

Why are them poems he uses (like in his lessons) are by original author and such? you'd expect someone would know such an author in their literary levels who that is given the poem being a "Classic"

 

because not all things are different, there are some difference and some similarity,, i forgot when, but zhang ye start to study those difference and use those difference as his advantage (new music, poem, shows, etc)

 

My dude, you went in so hard. Yeah those chapters were definitely creepy. I mean what's sexual about menses blood?? It was just awkward and weird hence my policy of skipping any chapter that remotely even feels like it's going to be pervy. His character otherwise is fine. The author would have been better served keeping the character semi normal instead of weird.

 

No his character otherwise is not fine, all he does is searches for new arts and skills in which he can humiliate a bunch of people, while plagiarising and feeling good about himself. Also indirectly author uses the MC to spread nationalistic Chinese propaganda, all that crap against Koreans, Japanese, black people and who knows what more since I fortunately dropped this before I got more "enlightened".

 

True my friend unfortunately there is a dearth of good modern novels with a similar style. I would prefer it if they would translate something like devine goal keeper or continue with ace of aces or even god of sports(?) Would be nice.

 

I am wondering about the Pregnancy tag......

 

Agree, this is what basically ruined it for me too, sure I like the wedding chapter.. but it feels like what I already read become pointless.. I keep reading till the latest MTL just in hope for the start of a new relationship, but.. sigh.. borrowing the opportunity, i dropped this novel..

sigh, what you just described above is basically what most CN Novels were about.. plagiriasing, extreme nationalism, you looked like praising them for me.. it's like you're saying: they're so badass very cool!
