One Piece is dark at times but it's cheerful about 95% of the time. I just wish Luffy would kill evil enemies... like, I'm gonna be bummed if Big Mom walks away unscathed after killing so many people and Spoiler eating those orphans

death note had no violence, everyone died by mysterious heart attacks. most of the time it was mind games and that one tennis match
They do have... Bust most of The time only monster dies in Bleach os spirits... And Naruto... The shit gets real close to The end... Before that is just some mentioning or some images here and there.
Dude its a world where pirates and marines just go killing each other whenever possible. Cops and Criminals are also like that also with soldiers and terrorist. Its just that, OnePiece was seen on Luffy and his friends view. Just imagine this arcs. Nami Arc Sky Island Arc Ace's Death Arc Thriller Bark Arc(not much from this because theyre dead anyway) Merman Arc Robins Back Story Theres always been bloody battles and killings. But only portrayed as back stories or extras. It was made to be focused on the adventure and fun times but dont forget the fact theres something terrible happen to other people on that world.

When you are going to watch/read/look at something that has a PIRATE theme... dont expect people to be riding on ponies giggling at each other while embarking on their cruise ship going to a vacation island.....
Enel is arrogant AF, it kinda weird there is no hint about him whatsoever after luffy reach new world, some fan saying he end up as someone else subordinate (unwillingly)

Well he was (part of) the cause for destroying some really big marine structures (the court, the jail, the HQ) + won against high lvl personnel + punched the "bubble head guys", defeated several of the 7 acknowledged pirates and escaped every time (I don't remember the real names / don't know what they're called in English)
