Question about tagging in NU Novel Pages

So, I have seen the edit logs and I see appropritae tags of a certain novel being removed. For example: On the latest novel tl by volare named Pivot of the Sky. Someone added Mythology and Alternate World as one of the tags and it got removed moments later.

Are there guidelines for tagging? Rules and such? Or the only ones that can tag are mods/admins?

Yup I added those tags in earlier then saw someone took them off...

 

There aren't any fixed rules for tags. Put the tags you feel are appropriate, ideally a tag that is already being used. Remove the tags you feel are wrong. And if you feel that there's a troll who's messing with the tags by putting fake ones and deleting the obvious tags(someone once put tags like loser MC, NTR, etc in a novel which had none of the stuff mentioned) then PM Tony. He'll block the editing privileges of the troll.

 

Well, first, make sure the tag isn't a major plot spoiler. Two, don't create a new tag. Odds are, the tag isn't that important and we don't need a new one, or a similar tag already exists. There are a bunch of other conventions which you can take a look at the tagging thread to to find out

Most Novels have too much tag that pretty much just sums up the whole story... Sometimes, you don't need Five tags describing the male character... Sometimes you don't need Five tags describing the specifics of a "summoned minion". There was a story that had " Summoned companion ", " Summoned Skeleton " yada yada. Unnecessary specific about certain things that had no relevance for people that look at said page over the basic tags that you cannot Edit.

Never heard of the current modern slogan " Less is More "?

 

Alternate World, usually refers to a world where 'Earth' is based on, but has magic, or game elements, or apocalyptic setting to it.

Everyone that is logged in to the site can edit the tags however they like, just make sure that the tags you are using are correct.

 

You're one to say that roro...We've all seen what kind of tags you use...
