So I want to change my os from Window 7 to BunsenLab os. And there, when i want to download the iso, I saw the option with PAE and with nonPAE iso.

So my question is, what is the difference of using PAE ISO vs nonPAE ISO.

#when i go to their forum, all i get was 403 Forbiddden page..

PAE allow 32bit os to use 4GB or above RAM. Still can be use even if you have less RAM.
non-PAE for incompatible (really old) computer and have 3GB or less RAM. More RAM is useless since it can't be use.

Check if your cpu support 64bit and use 64bit version instead.

I see and understand. Thanks for the info m8. A much better and easier to understand explanation.
Also, it seems that my OS doesn't support anything that is 64bit. dunno bout my cpu though.

I did a check up for my processor using cpu-z and there is no PAE listed there.

32bit os doesn't support 64bit app. But 64bit os have backward compatibility for 32bit app.
IIRC earlier pentium 4 support only 32bit, but later support 64bit. Most later generation than that support 64bit os even if it installed with 32bit windows. Just search on internet to see if your cpu support 64bit or not.

I'm guessing you have less than 4GB ram since you are using 32bit windows. It doesn't matter whether you use PAE or non-PAE. If you plan on upgrading RAM, use PAE version. Or better, 64bit version if compatible.
