Will Nie Yan finally get the lock picking skill he's been lacking?

 

i just started reading the series yesterday and i'm about 70 chapters in. while for the most part this story is pretty good, there's so many things the author forgets or leaves out that i noticed. he introduced tons of mechanics and then never brings them up again. like skill points and mastering the skills, other than the first time it was mentioned (when the mc first started), it was mentioned only like one other time and only in passing at that.

when he goes to the treant king place and finds the two dark elves? he mentions dungeon completion rate and that the highest anyone reached in that dungeon in his past like was about 60 or 70%. after delivering the heads to the nearby general or whatever npc, it was never mentioned if that even counted as 100% completion. do dungeon completion rates ever get mentioned again?

also, can someone explain the book of order? not sure how it works. it's supposed to be made of 6 volumes and each volume is 6 chapters for a total of 36 chapters. from the way he talks about it though, it sounds like there's only 6 chapters total, like courage, justice, chivalry, etc. so is the one that he found early on a volume or a chapter?

 

I presume it's because it wouldn't be very interesting and also limiting. The "not interesting" part is subjective, I admit, but it would be limiting in that the author needs to make sure what writes makes sense in relation to what skill levels and effects have been stated, and also makes it harder to pull off awesome moments. Maybe a lazy move from the author, but I've already forgotten about them and I don't exactly miss their presence. So yea it's not perfect, but I don't think it's a deal breaker.

The 60-70% dungeon completion was in this timeline cause they don't know yet about the dark elves, in his previous timeline it was 90-95%. I don't think it was 100% because you would need to know the dragon language, which is pretty much impossible to know at that early a level for the dungeon. I don't remember if it was mentioned or it was just assumed, but I'm pretty sure he got 100%.

As for the Book of Order, he knows there are 2 for sure, but the locations of the 2nd book's chapters were never revealed since the 1st wasn't compiled, the chapters being scattered among guild masters. There are 6 chapters per book, each chapter has a name (Courage and whatever else they were), once all 6 chapters are gathered by a player they combine into the Book of Order, until that time the chapters drop on death so he can't afford to die. There's also a set time until the developers announce clues about the location of unclaimed chapters, so Nie Yan needs to move his ass to get them before the big guilds find out and start hunting.

 

from chapter 115, "There were a total of six chapters in the first volume of the Book of Order."

so it looks like the chapters named (courage, freedom, whatever) really are only in the first volume. which means each of the remaining 5 volumes will have individual named chapters.

to sum up, there are two books, the book of order and the book of chaos (i think it was chaos, don't remember exactly). each book has 6 volumes. each volume has 6 chapters, of which the mc has obtained the chapter of courage (as of chapter 115), and probably about to obtain freedom.

 

Chapter 162: Tang Yao~ now that's a true brother! I'm glad Nie Yan paid back everyone before his parents suddenly got rich. Now the retarded family can't use the loan agreement to try and get more money from his parents.

 

Chapter 163: Nie Yan finds himself in a sealed off area and is given a task to kill 20 headless horsemen. Judging by his tactic, the arrows deal on average 30 dmg. With a health of 1,200 it would take roughly 40 arrows to kill one. If he's gotta kill 20 then that's 800. How many arrows does he even have on him?

And this is the first task as well. Who knows how many tasks there are and if he will need to use arrows later on. He won't be able to get any if he runs out right?

 

were arrows mentioned in the vr setting before if not it is believable using unlimited arrows as an excuse but that would make archers too op so idk maybe a large amount of arrows can stack in a bag while not being registered as too heavy

Chapter 164: these quests really are strange~ after 2,000 it's not gna increase to 20,000 right? What comes after intermediate? Advanced? Then master?

 

Chapter 166: family reunion \o/ lol~ well it's nice that the parents are back but dammit they cut into the game time. This next quest has gotten interesting. If it's possible for Nie Yan to complete it outside this place that's great. But what about this mystery with the locked chest. Is this unrelated to killing the undead?

 

About time they showed up, I say. It's been over 150 chapters that we've waited for them, now I'm waiting for the reveal that Nie Yan already has a guild up and running, alliances in the making and in-game money for a lot of things, all waiting for his dad's business to be attached to it and grow to a behemoth.

 

Chapter 167: finally he has the key! Skill book or equipment? Or maybe both~
And getting stabbed, "Just", escaping the quest, I hope there's explanation to this soon and not something for a later time

 

Chapter 168: finally he gets a lock picking skill~ \o/ and it's a specialist one too. It's about frickin time he got that skill! This assassins union sounds interesting~ he's not going to create one himself is he?

 

Are there any Spoiler for Chapter:169 here?... I'm tired of waiting!!!!....

 

Or better yet whats the ending?... did he get the two books? complete with all its chapters?...

 

Chapter 169: Nie Yan actually did create this Assassins Union.....I wonder who this mysterious person was, who created it in the other timeline. All these people who lose out on what they would have done/found whenever Nie Yan uses his past knowledge...i do feel sorry for them!
