    I don't know why NU admin uses a picture of Remilia and Flandre (Scarlet sisters) in Christmas outfits for the novel NEET Receives a Dating Sim Game Leveling System:

    I think there are some mistakes to use the touhou image, could you please replace with the correct one?

    its correct, trust me. there are other CN novels that have art that ripped off of other works. like absolute choice. i think its fate/stay for that one

    It's the cover used by the translator team and the original copyright owner (aka qidian). Quite a lot of chinese novel have pirated cover. NU didn't choose it.

    Most chinese WN "covers" are in fact rip-offs of japanese characters (and by "rip-offs" I mean it literally, they pick an illustration of a japanese character, paste the title/author over it and make it a cover).

    There's a thread that addresses this, but I can't find it right now.

    Yeah, even webnovels that aren't based on typical CN content and style like release that witch used pirated art for cover (from dragon's crown, a ps3/vita game), or they combine pirated assets in some botched up photoshop job (monster factory had a pretty infamous cover with a hulk ripoff wearing a badly added security helmet and thor hammer)...

    But if it can make you fell better quite a lot of chinese authors ripp off content from other Cn novels too :p

    Yep @Qidian , you should clean your act and change all those pirated covers if you want to be seen as a serious, honest and official editor in the international publishing scene.
    Using ripped off artworks really make you look like shameless amatures or a company that does shaddy business...
    And yes, no need to be an avid visitor of deviantart or other illustrator websites to recognize part of ripped of sceneries, or elements taken from works of diverse mecha artists...

    Actually some of the old covers of qidian novels looked good and were original. Neet was one of them.

    This is impossible because qidian has three million novels, and the cost will be huge, over $one billion.The money will buy the whole qidian.

    If they are making the effort to expand to the international market and treatening to sue non official translations over copyright issue, it is the strict minimum for them to stop pirating artworks. How can they have any sort of legitimacy in their claims and international goals if they continue to use stolen art as covers.

    A lot of their novels talk about face being the most important thing in world, so why are they ruining the face of their company by stealing art ?

    @CKtalon_TMW say that Qidian has bought stock art packages, so ,it's not infringement ? I'm not sure.
