Since you seem to have received all my recommendations and I am currently reading it. I will suggest the Conrad Stargard series. Polish man ends up in the past and messes up world history.
Romantically Apocalyptic has quite a bit of time stuff (I can only call it as such, because of how crazy and diverse it is). By the way there is no romance in this one.

But I couldn't get invested into the chars meaning it was worthless for the ending to be sad / romantic... also had the same problem with this years anime 'My Hero Academia' literally no tension the author or producers were way too scared to kill off or permanently cripple a char to add a little bit of feeling to the situation... Heck half the kids in the class of that anime were litrally worthless and I could not give a shit about them, even giving them minor injuries would of been fine, the anime cliche of them looking like they are heavily injured but are only slightly injured would of been fine BUT NOOO. kek I was mad. What I meant to say in my little tangent was that when there is no tension the char feels like they can go through anything without any repercussions or problems really, this always takes away from my immersion as all I can ever think is 'they should all be dead right now' and 'plot armor is strong here.'

Now that I think about it, there might be a little bit of (very weird) romance involving a super-AI that tries to yandere-kill a guy. Or maybe I am just remembering her wrong. Who knows. I wouldn't be surprised by anything at this point. Its seriously crazy and awesome.
