    Why It Should Get Picked Up: Was a great series picked up by Krytyk’s Translations a few years back, but abandoned because he said it was too dark. One volume fully translated.

    Description: What was left for the boy, was just the girl. And what the girl chose, was just the boy??

    Human siblings living in a remote village, elven siblings living deep in the forest. The peace of theirs, who should not have been friends, should have continued forever. However, when the elves suddenly started an invasion on the human world, the feelings of the four were torn apart and they took different paths. Eventually the human boy??Imina, and the elf girl??Ellis, stood on the battlefield. The sword he holds is crimson. The same colour that had flowed on it, and will flow on it from then onwards…

    ".. too dark", what a reason to break with a novel, aren't that the best ones? No happy-go-lucky protagonists, no friendship solves everything concept, no hypocrisy, no generic writing style and so on..

    On the contrary, dark fantasy is the real dope of the fantasy genre. It shows how the world really works, and perfectly portrays human nature to its very core without sugarcoating anything. Let's hope someone picks it up, for the love of the monsters that lurk within our souls. :3

    I get the feeling you haven't read Elvenblood yet. Rather than realistic fantasy, I remember it as more of a holy-shit-these-characters-are-monsters type of novel. It's great, but wearing to read let alone translate.
