Thanks for the answer lad, i think i already noted some of you guys suggestion, if there's too much, i don't think my thesis will go well, so, i will watch and take the best option for my work, once again, thank you
In regards to your thesis, you might want to focus more on the movies with more historical basis (overall). Ip Man is better in comparison to the younger Jackie Chan films, as it is a semi biographical series of films of the most notable Wing Chun martial artist, and teacher of Bruce Li. Also, the Bruce Li films may have a lot of fluff (story wise) but the martial artistry is more correct in comparison. If you look into some of the shows, like Vikings, and some of the Ancient Rome sort of series, you will find a lot of accurate fighting. The Sharpe and Horatio Hornblower series I noted are historical fiction written by Bernard Cornwell, which even reading will give you much to work with as they both are set in the Napoleonic wars (and for sharpe, part of the East India Company). His other books also go into ancient briton and his more recent series was made into another BBC series called The Last Kingdom. The Thirteenth Warrior is a bit loosely based, but it is probably the most accurate (minus the villains) to the cultures and fighting styles involved.
Off the top of my head... 1. Troy - I think it was 2004-5 2. Braveheart - 1995 won 5 oscars 3. Robin Hood - 2011 great remake 4. Lord of the rings trilogy 5. The hobbit trilogy (though I liked LOTR more imo)
If you looking it for thesis, you better see movie with approved historic record or approved culture show, because some movies already adjusted to audiences to much, so here will maybe miissinterpretation with cultural and historical record according to our reality
If you are ok with some really old movies, you could give some of the movies of Kurosawa a try...Like the seven samurai. It is from 1950s so...
you might as well add jet li, stephen chow, bruce lee to your search list to just get started. You are missing out on a lot of action.
Forgot kingdom of heaven, absolutely amazing film; especially when you get the true director's cut with more story elements. Sadly that were cut for theatrical due to studio thinking that the masses were too dumb and impatient to stay in a theater. I mean they were kind of right, but it didn't make the movie better doing so.
The Admiral: Roaring currents .. Excellent war movie historically based Silmido - based on true story of Unit 684 (secret hit squad trained unbeknownst to South Koreans) Tae-Gu Ki - brotherhood of war
It might seem like a good movie if you didn't read the book but once you read it, the movie is a disgrace. For one, in the book, Percy and Annabeth was twelve, not 17. Second, what is with Ananbeth's hair? Like come on, she has curly blonde hair, not straight brown hair. Not to mention, Clarisse wasn't even mentioned in the whole movie. And those were on only scraping the tip of the iceberg.
