Heyo, let me stalk ya a little. Wanna share dotabuffs? I came up with this idea, because of some reasons. The site is really amazing, I love the stats, records, trends and all the other features. It basically countains a lot of intelligence, which might be usefull for a player to adapt easier to a meta. The website has many interesting articles about the game to read to, if you want to share with me, I am curious Here is mine haha https://de.dotabuff.com/players/172663002 https://de.dotabuff.com/players/115077493 If you didn't know of its existence before, check it out, it's free and of value to players
https://www.dotabuff.com/players/388552245# 300 games here, i did some callibration and i think my mmr is around 1k-1.5k. Any idea on how to improve my game? Im adopting no excuse mentality, if i do good, i can win every game. Right now im doing all hero challenge to broaden my knowledge about the game. Im still doing better than average by 15% with 1/4 heroes under my belt (meepo was rough, 1/4) What do you think? Which one worked for you? Picking certain number of carry heroes and spam? Or look at the picks and adjust to carry or support?
My strategy is try all heroes with all hero challenge first. I did it too in both dota1 and dota 2 Afterwards only play the hero u win with, not the hero u are good with, well winning means u are good Or play the hero u love but never argue with ur team, arguments are losses for me both in the quality experience and time loss, also really game losses For me flaming is inexcuseable to myself and my team. I will mute flamers
I agree totally. When i first played i was confused whenever someone flamed me. I thought i was doing so bad that it caused the team to go down. After awhile i realized i was playing with people who have been playing for 1k hours. It dawned to me that these people are stuck coz they cant improve, they are flaming people but they cant support. It means im doing something right that enables me to be on par with them. So i kind of dropped playing carries and start supporting. Been improving in win rates that way... I just stop asking people what to do and do everything i can to win the game. I buy couriers, ward, gank, farm, tank if i had to. Its really bad for my stats though. My gpm went to the gutter. People complaining about my farm coz they missed the fact i was doing solo against 2 stunners in offlane with death prophet. Not to mention i was warding too. I figured once im done with this all hero challenge, im gonna start picking heroes properly and probably create a new account to learn better from my statistics.
So I heard finishing about 1000 hours of dota, you get an average ok 2.5k mmr. Do you think this is true?
Newer accounts get MMR faster cause you can start at 4K. I heard they updated that though it is still easier to get higher MMR on new accounts though but rising on your own feels good. Haven't played since I sold my account though lololol.
just play with your high mmr friend and play support everytime they will tell you stuff and if you're not an idiot you'll get 3k at least
im at 900hrs but i guess 1/3 of that is arcade lol. though i have been playing dota 1 since i was a kid and im almost 20 T_T ill just blame the metas xD
https://www.dotabuff.com/players/151795101 Thats mine. Sadly i can't open it since i didn't turn my public status on. But my stats are balance. I'm not good with complicated hero such as invoker and thinker and meepo. I have three seconds delay in casting their skills. Pudge and mirana skills are kinda average and i'm mostly like the troll type in playing techies. If you want my play style, i'm the support type. I can give some tips in playing heroes and advices when facing enemies. Edit: My MMR is still 1k due to the fact that i like playing in normal matches. I don't like having a competitive spirit since thats what happened to my brother who got so obsessed with dota 2 that when we lose, i get beaten up by him. I just like enjoying playing games and playing with different skills in ability draft.
