now they got bunch of ships and hundreds of sailors...
they could migrate all the ex-pirate's family from the fishing village to avoid the wrath of that other noble
and also those vagabonds from Andinaq Kingdom to develop Silowas Island

I don't know. If they kept the village they'll have a buffer before Silowas. If they keep only Silowas the merchant fleet cartel could blockade the island. While the village could use the land route. I know there are mountains in the way, but with gunpowder anything is possible.
Personally I have the fond belief that if you must have war. Have it on someone else land.

Damn, Chikdor's Second Young Master was smart and cautious, unlike 95% other CN Novel's young masters

maybe the fishing village could be preserved, but I doubt Locke will split his forces to defend it since the village was too far from his dominion. He would develop his land as far as he can until he got enough army reserve to attack other lands.

    Yup!
His army should be massive with steady supply line from a rich developed land :)
Too many area borders to defend just unnecessary military expense

Logistical speaking. Northlands and Silowas aren't really self sufficient yet in the food area front yet. So having another food source and having it closer to Silowas is beneficial.
Now splitting forces. Personally I'd keep my fleet at the village and my marines on Silowas. Just in case a raid happens. With the village as a FOB you interdict all enemies and if the enemy bypass our base we could cut off their supply lines. As long as Silowas has food stock for sieges. The fleet will decimate the blockade.
As I said before building up forces is great and all, but you got a choice. Right now either fight them on your door step or fight them on the field/ their front door step.
Patton has said no soldier has ever won a war by dieing for his country, he did it by getting the other guy to die for his.

What a satisfying chapter that was!
First time I've read about a young master in CN who did their homework...
The fact that Lorist fought that other count's army while outnumbered was not mentioned though.
A question. If Lorist becomes emperor then why did the narrator call him his highness instead of his imperial majesty?
I find this interesting since the author claimed that Lorist was an arch duke not a grand duke.
The difference between those two is that arch duke is the heir apparent to an empire. Meaning that they are a prince whose style would be your imperial highness.

Now that everyone knows who their f$&king with.
There really are only two options. One the smart way appease and negotiate. Or the dumb way. Hay diddle diddle straight up the middle and see if doing the same thing will some how change the outcome.
Knowing the way it usually happens. They'll choose the dumb way and kill off about 3/4 of their war fleet.
