The author has made Locke into such a careful, big picture guy i wonder why he's neglecting this part of the story? Has locke forgotten the only reason why he was able become head of the family is because his mother was the official wife of the previous baron. With locke making his son with the maid the heir, and his actual wife who has a son and also being the daughter of a duke with higher status then the maid, just sounds like a recipe for disaster to me.
They can inherit titles but they won't hv as much standing as the heir of official wife, what he fears is that the maid's followers may poison his wife n her child
But didn't someone say that Irena is considered a concubine? In which case I think it's understandable that their son is the heir/capable of being the heir, just that his second second would have a better standing. As for his illegitimate children, I haven't read ahead of the translated chapters yet (but I probably will), but I can only remember him helping/legitimising his father's illegitimate children. Did he legitimise his own illegitimate children as well? That sounds like a recipe for disaster if you ask me. Just look at what happened in Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire Spoiler when Aegon IV 'the Unworthy' of House Targaryen legitimised all of his bastard sons on his deathbed, resulting in House Blackfyre and the following Blackfyre Rebellions.
He only included those children in the family genealogy, when did he say that he appointed a successor? Yes, they can inherit titles, he will probably give the children of his concubines some territories and titles like viscount or baron, the inheritor of Northlands will still be one of his wife's children. The people of Maplewood bastide want elena's son to be the successor of Lorist, they don't even consider her as a maid, they consider her as proper wife and the reason they spout is that it's because elena's father was a loyal family knight.
What I meant was that it was simply possible for him to inherit things from his father. Also, when I say his illegitimate children, I refer to the children of his lovers. Are they capable of inheriting titles and land as well? Or is it restricted to the children of his wives and concubines?
The children of his lovers are not included in the family genealogy, so he can't directly give them titles or land. But u know Lorist's personality, he cares about all his children equally not like some other aristocrats.
looking at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_and_noble_ranks i suppose lorist is an arcduke rather than grand duke no?
What's the difference? It even states that Archduke and Grand Duke are simply variants of Duke, does it not?
I'm curious, does Lorist always stay at the Silver Rank? Is he never able to overcome the problem between his cultivation methods? o.0
He overcame iron, he thought his family's technique is blazing battle technique but it actually turned out to be some other blood oriented skill with no attribute, as soon as he practiced it he reached silver. The author never showed him practicing battle force later
His ex is thriving( on paper atleast), so probably his ex might have resolved the crisis of windsor family with the help of her husband.
Ahhh, I see. Thank for the current updates. I kinda stopped reading at a certain chapter because the machine translated chapter is getting harder and harder to read.
1. What does Locke do after his son's rape attempt on his daughters? 2. What about Irina's second son? Is he also so screwed up? 3. What happened to Irina (the maid)? Why did she turn out so screwed up? 4. Who among Locke's kids seem capable? 5. What happened to the First Prince? How was he killed?
you should read it from one of the previous page answer.... most of your question already been answered
