    I recommend Napalm.

More seriously, if you go to a school or someplace with IT maybe try asking them if they have suggestions if you don't get anything from here.

    what kind of treasure ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)...........
    .....
    .........sorry

but it really does depend on how valuable your treasure is. If it's pretty important, don't skimp. Try to find somewhere cheap but don't go into a random back alleyway to fix it.

An image would be helpful, but if you are sure the problem is with the head, then google might be helpful for self repair

Or someone like them, basically the platters need to be pulled and scanned to copy all the data off of them. Such services are not cheap so weigh the price against the value of your treasure.

For an instant there, I had this stupid thought that due to the bent head of HD, all the images and videos stored had their heads bent. Now imagine any po*n collection !! Or any manga .

I guess financially downloading everything a new is cheaper, but seeing my hardwork for 2 years gone to the drain just pains me,so I guess if I can't find a cheap and reliable one to fix it in 3 months,I'll give up

Unless the HD was dropped from a considerable height, the heads wont get 'bent' so easily.
You said it shows in device manager but not shown as a drive in explorer then it just lost its partition. If that is the case, then it is recoverable. You just need to ecover the partition information. Try those data recovery utilities available online (some free), As long as it shows in the device manager of windows, it should be recoverable.

If it's being detected by device manager that might mean that is being detected by the BIOS... Do you hear the head moving? Try check your admin tools and see if Windows(assuming your using windows) is being seen in the disk manager. It it seeks the disc but doesn't recognize the FAT then its going to show up as unknown then it could be that the MBR and partition table is jacked... This is going to require trying to rebuild the partition table...

    http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk

Process of rebuilding a partition table isn't completely straight forward... Since all of the utilities are command-line, your going to have to fiddle with a command window... Read the instructions and follow as best you can.

This is why I keep simple text files with the output of a dir/s so that I could find them back again... The pains of redownloading 1TB of manga and more...

Try new/different enclosure. It's the plastic thing that protected your external hdd.

Some tricks I used to do with failing hard drive:

    • Put HDD in a zipploc bag, then put it in the freezer for a few hours. The longer the better. No longer than 24h though.
    • Lift the HDD flat over your desk, about 5cm high, then drop it. The shock should fix the needle.

*Note that all these tricks have their own risk. It had always worked for me. And these methods are just temporary fix, which allow you access to the failing HDD for a short period of time. So you need to be prepare and ready to transfer the data into another HDD. Some files might be so corrupt that they are impossible to recover even if you use some kind of recovery software.
