When one family gets found out to have tried to assassinate mc (to become underling of king Qi) to get forgiveness thay gave a girl as a maid for him element fairy
How long did it take you to read the 518 chapters? And now compare it to MCs who fail to get laid in more than millions of years. ... now 518 chapters really doesn't seem to be too long for no romance.
That's not entirely true. He simply knows about the smithing techniques from the future, but he himself is not a blacksmith. It's just that he does the final tempering process himself to prevent the advanced technique from leaking. There was possible romance with Bai Saiqing (?), the only female member of the group that was sent to perform their assessment duties. She ends up liking Wang Chong, and he himself knows it, but he chooses to ignore it/put it aside, because he has more important things to worry about. Given that, it's likely that there won't be any romance in the story because he will want to focus on saving his country. For me, I read it in about a week (was I was a bit busy, otherwise I would have likely finished it much earlier. Also, its pretty interesting that after 534 chapters, less than 2 years have passed since Wang Chong crossed over ... I wonder how long this series will last for, given that there will possibly be up to 30 years worth of stuff (unless events change drastically due to his interference in the timeline).
MC personality is actually like able not overly arrogant and shameless. Uses his brain instead of fist most of the time if I remember correctly
Similar to what Yang Hao said, the MC is someone who likes to use his brain most of the time, and especially in this life, where he isn't as strong as he was in his previous life, so he uses his brain to make up for it. He is slightly arrogant though. However, he knows that even if he was the Greatest Grand Marshal Great Tang has ever seen, he shouldn't underestimate others because of it, so he will still try to think from his enemy's perspective and try to counter them. I would also say that he's also slightly xenophobic, due to certain events that had happened in his previous life, but I would say that it's dependent on the situation.
1. How is his progress in cultivation? 2. How does he build up an army? Does he have capable subordinates? 3. How does he deal with the Yao Clan? Does he eliminate any of his future enemies? 4. How does he perform in the training camp?
I don't know where the translations are to compare the progress but Spoiler 1. It's not too fast, not too slow imo. He's not really lagging behind his peers of the same age, but he's not omnipotent either. 2. Yes, his subordinates aren't that bad. He builds them up by recruiting people he know had been strong/notable in the future-past. 3. Yao Clan, no. For the others it's debatable depending on who you consider as enemies and what you consider as eliminate. 4. He doesn't really stay in the training camp. Not that he is kiccked out, just that most of the actions doesn't really go in there, so if you're expecting a school life kind of setting, it doesn't exist.
Spoiler 1. It seems to be going at a pretty decent rate. Due to one of his cultivation techniques which allows him to increase his cultivation by stealing it from his enemies, his cultivation rate is quite fast, but only when there are things like wars and battles and fights that occur, and when he's on the front lines fighting and killing, so that's offset by pretty much any time that he isn't fighting (due to the relative peace, or because he's commanding people and giving orders instead of fighting himself). It is also offset by another one of his techniques, whose affect allow for an increase in explosive power (so think of allowing him to fight enemies with higher cultivation) at the cost of a reduction in his cultivation (in that in order to increase the level of his explosive power, he needs to reach a certain cultivation level, and doing so would lower his cultivation, e.g. to go from level 1 to level 2 he needs a cultivation of True Martial 5, once he reaches it, his cultivation gets dropped to True Martial 1). 2. He builds up his army through the training camp mostly. Outside of the training camp, some circumstances lead to him meeting people who would become famous in his previous life (or has the potential to do so), and whilst inside the training camp, he sets up a 'school' if you will with benefits, and slowly recruits notable talents and so on using a combination of his memory of his previous life and through testing them. 3. As of now he hasn't yet dealt with the Yao Clan. After the Yao Clan suffer a defeat from Wang Chong's interference which results in Wang Chong's grandfather receiving an apology from his rival in the Yao Clan, they pretty much try to keep a low profile. As for Wang Chong and the Wang Clan, they have other things to worry about so they don't really try to take care of the Yao Clan. At least not yet. I'm sure they will at some point. 4. He does pretty well for himself. He, along with his new right hand man (who was his right hand man in his previous life), someone whom he meets (again) at his grandfather's birthday event, get taught by the most formidable teacher in the training camp and gets a powerful technique from him. Then, after the training camp gets surrounded and attacked by foreign powers, he makes a name for himself by helping counter the attack. Then, some things happen and he starts to establish his own mini academy/training ground nearby where he gets a lot of his new subordinates for his future army.
Why is his second brother in jail? Does he ever get out and does he get cured of his berserk disease?
