Can't remember that lol. But to my knowledge the original author was always a basic cannon fodder mob character. AKA that NPC 1,2, 3 that you see a lot.

With Google-sensei, it's best to copy-paste the link and translate the entire page. That's the only way past the character limit.

 

The author is a really fun character, and you only really see what he's like after reading his extra chapters since he's super mob in the main story.

The author is very practical in his approach and has zero qualms about throwing away his pride if that'll help him survive. The reason why his novel is so full of plot holes is b/c he was writing based on chapter-by-chapter fan reactions and wrote whatever subplots the fans seemed to be interested in while ditching the ones that fans didn't seem to care about. Popularity = money, and he was in need of money, so he basically wrote whatever's popular, even if that would make people judge and question his character.

He did change part of the plot since he left out a super strong monster that was suppose to attack ML, but plot correction or something happened so a different final boss still appeared. He also helped MC make his plant body and the plan where MC escaped using that body.

Also, at the end of the novel, he decides to go back to his roots and become an author again after seeing how well the RPF of MC and ML sold in this world. Since MC and ML's illicit love story is what's popular, of course that's what he's also going to write (one of the potential titles for his new novel was 'My Disciple Can't Be This Cute' lol). He actually complained about how that other author was dull and only focused on MC and ML, missing out on all the other potential love interests (like Liu QingGe or Yue QingYuan). He was so confident that if he wrote a harem starring MC, it'd definitely sell.

Omg, I loved that scene. ML's former harem member was so mad at him and wanted to kick him out, but ML made him keep talking (since everyone else's ideas were terrible) and the author's 'advice' was essentially to endlessly pester and stick to MC while acting weak and cry pitiful tears, b/c that's the 'type' that all men are weak to. It's hilarious how even though the author lost control over the plot, he was still able to influence ML's character.

Real person fiction. I think that's the most common term referring to fics about real people, and if you look at it from the pov of existing in the novel, the (highly inaccurate and r18) story about MC and ML is essentially that.
