As is the case with global warming and that sea reef thingy, scientist say that we have polluted this sea roof too much for it to heal/recover now.. There was this man who refused to sell his house, and the gvt made a road, only his house was in the middle of it. Consider hunting as an example, animals go extinct but do we stop?
There are tons of people in reality from your example. They won't move. You can test them through trials of fire, but they won't move. They just won't.

What caused the changes?

 

Mh, there were certain aspects of myself that I didn't like as much, and therefore moved in a certain other direction.

I like myself better as an INFP than I was when I was an INTJ.

There's more to the world than just knowledge or facts or science or achievement or what have you, that kind of thing. When I think what is most important to me now, it is people, and the aspects of people that make us human.

We kind of live in a world where computers and robots and technology are getting better and better. Computers can read X-rays to diagnose diseases, drive cars, play go. I will never know more things or be smarter or do things faster than a computer that is specifically designed to do a specific task.

What separates a computer from a human being?

Our capacity to feel, probably.
Our capacity to be human and empathize and understand each other's experiences.

I think in a couple hundred years, there will be a computer that will be able to do my current job. A computer that can rationalize and think and calculate and problem-solve better than I ever could.

But I don't think there will be a computer that will be able to feel and interact with other humans and be a humanist in exactly the same way I can. And I guess the human experience is what I find most valuable right now in my life.

 

With a hard materialistic theory of the mind, there's no reason why there won't be a computer that could empathise and "feel" and be "human".

Mediator again

 

INFP(Mediator) for me with clear IN and borderline FP, although I think it is a stupid system of measuring personalities since if you are 51% introverted for example then you are closer to someone that is 90% extroverted than you are to someone that is 100% introverted, yet you get the same label.

 

Varies on my mood to some extent. Usually it's INTJ or INTP, but I've had results all across the Analyst spectrum... So the only real constant is that I'm an Intuitive(N) Thinker(T).

 

It said that I have a campaigner personality.
