What if everyone in our world suddenly gained the ability to cultivate like in Xianxia? How long until society collapses? Is the government gonna start censoring meta knowledge like CN novels? Because technically the skills and training methods portrayed in fiction is potentially useful knowledge now.. How would this impact you? Is your goal to be an immortal or just to survive in this new brutal world. I personally think mundane society and weapons technology (guns/nukes etc) would keep order for a while.. Until that one guy gets to the rank where you're immune to nukes and attempts to conquer the world. Edit: Animals also gain the ability to cultivate and wilder more carnivorous animals can evolve to demonic beasts.

i was gonna point out that a nuclear explosion is hotter than the sun but then I remembered they would get to a point where they would just teleport away before it explodes
Yeah depending on where the nuke is launched from, there might be plenty of time for Mr.Cultivator to sense it and run 1000 miles away from the detonation. Plus strategic locations matter and I doubt the government would nuke a major city etc.. which the high rank cultivator might be located in unless they're really desperate.

But my friend did you know that the sun is a big fusion reactor (that' just illustrative) Because it reign the fusion of hydrogen then helium then ... idk But anyway if the surface of the sun is only 5000°C at its core it is 15 million°C i don't think a nuclear weapon is hotter than this otherwise we'd be long dead

I think that science will always be a step ahead and create weapons always stronger than any cultivator thus the strengh in number will always have the edge on strong cultivators. Then we have a massive scientific rush to keep competitiveness between nations, with small skirmish here and tbere but no global wars. And at terms, a state a stability appears.

Nothing changes. We have our own system. Probably what would increase are criminals. I mean might makes right in the xianxia ways right. But just might can't make the economy running. We can't just jump start into a cultivation era. Probably ended up like mob psycho claws arc. Criminals group of espers and government have their own group of espers too.
