The manga Gokukoku no Brynhildr has finally been translated to completion. It was a long time coming, but it was better off forgotten. Till today the worst Manga ending for me was Psyren, a great Manga cancelled for stupid reasons, but now its Gokukoku no Brynhildr. Everything that was building up was thrown away for an attempt at a cheap emotional response from the readers which failed. I'm writing this post to convey a message. We as readers have had to deal with abandoned stories, especially originals found on RRL, but there are worst things than an abandoned story. Be grateful to have read a bit of a good story than to see it become something that makes you cry.
for me the worst so far was Zen Martial Arts Academy it was axed too early, the mc just started to get his sense of power usage and we are walking into a tournament start - > boom axed
Hm... Still find abandoned novels worse than novels with bad/rushed endings. When mangas have rushed endings, I rage. I mentally create alternate endings and feel like this ending I made would have been WAAAY better than the actual ending. In the case of abandoned stories though...There's a feeling of emptiness. You know that you found an amazing story, but it's no longer going to be updated. You hope that it will be picked up...But that hope dies after waiting for over a year. That sense of wanting to know what's going to happen next in the story but knowing you'll never know what was going to happen in it is seriously annoying. PS: Even worse than an abandoned novel is a novel that's being continued, you know the story is still good...But can't read it cos it got licensed and you can't by all the unread volumes cos it's too expensive. So fuck YenPress. T.T
worst ending: maybe tales of demons and gods, author just disappeared like in hunter x hunter, I mean he doesn't do much
Hitman Reborn will always be the worst ending in manga history, nothing was truly resolved and it's even more open-ended than Toriko's.
ever since TDG, I've been treating web novels like flings, enjoy the moment, then when things go south, tap it and then leave. manga wise, Hitman Reborn, Slam Dunk, Iron Knight, Soul Eater, and TWGOK endings sucked for me.
they fought a long hard war, one after another his allies, no his friends fell in the crusade against evil. the evil that was brought about by the rebellion of the tyrant, till finally it was just him. just him and the mad old king, the tyrant, the cause of so much senseless death, of so much pain and suffering, the reason for so much hatred. but he would end it today, for it would be the only way he could possibly repay his comrades who died for him, for their mission to dethrone the mad king grego- *CRASH* "Ouch mother fudger".... and that was such a good dream too, i wish it had an ending
I wonder if anyone remembers Veritas ? Psyren was still ok, I guess. Mx0 was a shame cuz it was starting to get good.
I already read some chapters this novel but u spoil it. Well i guess gonna drop it. It actually had good beginning.
Double Arts I think it was called. Another one chopped too early. Oh and lest we forget the absolute wasted potential of HunterXHunter. Would have easily eclipsed One piece, Naruto and bleach if only the author stayed in good health.
