    I'm pretty sure that Lin Dong returns to the clan to fight in a tournament and win/draws 1st place. And then the clan leader was like y'all fight in this tournament and whoever wins is the new clan leader or something. Thanks in advance!

    Yes, he fought in the clan tournament. After that there was a a tournament to see who would go to the Thousand Countries/Empires [something like that] Battlefield and the can leader would support the one that was capable of going there. It was around 375 that they participated in the tournament to see who would go the the Something Battlefield. The battle (in the Lin Family Tournament) between Lin Dong and Lin Genius was before chapter 360. In the 420 he is already in the battlefield. They entered it between 390 and 400 I think.
