Heads up, I'mma be out there and say this: I play the violin and wanted to make a small "skit" on it. None of this is truly serious. Hope you wish to learn to play the violin.

As many violinists may know, there are HUGE dangers when playing the violin. I will be addressing a few here.

1. Severe finger trauma

>>> Picture this: You're a soloist, playing all by yourself! You just ended your performance and take a bow towards the clapping audience! HOWEVER, your fingers are DYING. They have approximately only 11% of the skin that you started out with. Especially VIBRATO! ON THOSE FRICKING E STRING NOTES! And to make it worse? You're using your FOURTH FINGER! OH, THE PAIN!

(the finger movements. basically, moving back and forth on the string. It gives that sound that most singers make on things like long notes. )
The e string is the highest string on a violin. It makes the... highest sound. To get this pitch, the string is considerably thinner than the other strings. You can basically think of the e string like a wire. Imagine doing fast vibrato on that...

Playing the violin, you use the fingers on your left hand to press on certain parts of certain strings to make certain notes. You use your forefinger, middle finger, ring finger, and pinky (as seen in the image above. No, it's not my hand.) Now, to be fancy, we violinists like to call our fingers using numbers. We have the first finger, second finger, third finger, and fourth finger. And, as you might guess, the fourth finger is the PINKY. Imagine doing vibrato on the e string with a pinky. Ugh.

2. Violinist's neck

>>>So, people play the violin with their chin on the little chin-rest built into it. That's fine. But the thing is, if you do it for too long, this happens:

I am not the person in this photo, but ouch. Looks painful, right?

3. The aches

>>>After hour-long concerts, your back, your arms, your shoulder, your legs, they all ACHE. They ache like mad. You are more likely to feel the pain if you sit in formal clothes. I can remember my time in the orchestra... argh. Ugh. You needed to wear all black, buttoned-up shirts, dress pants, and these formal shoes. You would really kind of... die on the inside.

I have many more, but I need to go. I will create a part two some other time.
