Depression (major depressive disorder) is a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act. Fortunately, it is also treatable. Depression causes feelings of sadness and/or a loss of interest in activities you once enjoyed. It can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems and can decrease your ability to function at work and at home.

Depression symptoms can vary from mild to severe and can include:

  • Feeling sad or having a depressed mood
  • Loss of interest or pleasure in activities once enjoyed
  • Changes in appetite — weight loss or gain unrelated to dieting
  • Trouble sleeping or sleeping too much
  • Loss of energy or increased fatigue
  • Increase in purposeless physical activity (e.g., inability to sit still, pacing, handwringing) or slowed movements or speech (these actions must be severe enough to be observable by others)
  • Feeling worthless or guilty
  • Difficulty thinking, concentrating or making decisions
  • Thoughts of death or suicide

And not many people can afford to check up...
And in my experience i'm affraid my family will knows... If they knows they will judge me a madness... And maybe i don't want to make my mom worry...
One reason is maybe their Psychological... "if i check up then my family knows i got depressed then i will make my family ashamed especially from paternal side"

And other reason my for their having money or not. (and this is for the most people problem). This remind me of my junior in uni,,, he dislike to enter the uni and in Y City... But he can't told anyone.. He can't disobey his father or his mother and he doesn't want to share his story or his worries so... He choose to suicide. Cos he tried to ask his father but his father don't want his child to Enter one of uni in his city "M city". Then and his mother is supporting his husband decision then one week later we got news that he is suicide in his sharehouse....
