A friend's request

So, I was lurking in nuf, doing nothing in particular, while my eyes were glued in the T.V. watching a music video play.

A call from one my besties. Since my phone was switched to silent mode, I was a bit puzzled and then answered it.

"Hello, [Nyan] I have an idea for a Harry Potter fanfic which I didn't copy from Tumblr, twittr, instagram nowhere! Listen!"

"Mm-hmm yeah", says I, a bit absentmindedly, eyes on TV.

"You remember the elves like Dobby? And how they would get free if they received something from the owner?"

"Yes"

"Well then I got an inspiration from the story of the cobbler, whose shoes were made by the elves at night"

I had a slight desire to correct her that they were pixies but I didn't want to interrupt her speaking of her imagination.

"Well they made the shoes for him right? I derived a theory as to why did they stop making it after sometime. The cobbler's wife was grateful for these unknown benefactors, and one night she left cakes for them. They ate it and we're thus free and stopped coming back!"

A flawed story in many ways. But I loved everything my friend created.

"Mm hmm. That's nice! So did you write it?"

"No I didn't-"

"You didn't? Then did you read it?" <- me asking silly questions as I was absentminded in the beginning of the conversation.

"Oh I read it where I was in kindergarten in a library", said she, referring to the cobbler's story. No wonder her memories of her weren't that correct but she still brought it to her conciousness.

I don't get it "Hmm what? You mean the cobbler's story?"

"Yes that"

"Then what about the crossover"

"It's just something I made up rn, and couldn't wait to tell you"

"So aren't you gonna write it?"

"Nuh-uh I just told you this. You can write it somewhere and remind me later"

"Wait me???"

"Yep you! Your English is better than me anyway", says the one who won the second prize in a story writing competition of our local newspaper.

"Ehhhh??? Well... Since you're asking to"

"Yep! That's all bye!"

That's all... I fulfilled my friend's request...
