Coffee related funny story~

Okay maybe not hilariously funny but slightly amusing. This came to mind as I was making coffee so I thought I would share it with people~

Years back I used to volunteer at a local community centre close to where I lived. It was a fun place to be at. Had lots of laughs there. My supervisor was a big coffee drinker. He used to have different types/brands of coffee in his desk drawer. I could never figure out why lol.

A while after being there he offered me coffee asking me how I take it. Black, sugar, milk, how strong? I don't have black coffee. Sugar 1. Milk yes. How do you describe how strong? He says he has it strong. That’s easy cos you can add a couple of spoons of coffee and less milk. I say not too strong. That’s tricky as the coffee to milk ratio can vary. He says not to worry he has a solution to this.

He goes to his desk and he pulls out something. I have a look and it’s a colour chart. You know the kind you see in paint stores. Something like this~

He shows me the shades of brown and asks me show him how I have my coffee. At first I was like lol what? It was pretty funny being handed one of those to choose my coffee. Imagine if your local Costa had one of those. But thinking about it properly it’s actually a good idea. You pick a shade and get coffee that matches. And I gotta tell ya the coffee was good. Not exactly how I have it but very close. I think everyone should have one of those colour charts with them. Very handy stuff. And not just for pain as you can see~
