Synopsis

It's a soccer manga about Ichijou Ryuu with his goal of representing Japan on the national level and just being the best soccer player. He has the skills to back it up and being called a genius by those already him. Furthermore he works very hard and doesn't slack. He has it all plan.

However an accident involving his best friend caused Ryuu to be in critical condition. His body was injured. He had to do rehabilitation for 2 years to walk again and which meant he lost 2 years of soccer.

After getting in better condition, Ryuu determined to play the best soccer, but there's many difficulties on his path.

Thoughts

It's inspiring to watch Ryuu work so hard even in the face of hardship like not being able to walk properly. I really recommend it, as it doesn't only focus on the matches, but also on the development of the people in the manga.

We go along with these children as they grow into high school. Like there's one boy who went from being openingly displaying laughable arrogance to learning to hide it, but still the same from when he's a child. But he's super good at soccer. There's so much more endearing characters.

I don't know I'm giving this manga justice with the explanation I'm giving, it's just very good.
