i wrote you a letter
it has everything you need to know
things i couldn't tell you
at least not anymore
i wrote it long ago
back then everything was well
you and i were on track
life was a cruise
the sky is blue
the winds are calm

i wrote it because i had this inkling
that the happy days were ending
and it did
maybe me thinking it would end
made it end
theory of synchronicity and all that philosophical whatnot

oh well
the fact of the matter is
i wrote a you a letter
i never thought of sending it
it was my last resort
mi ultimo adios

now, the wheels of destiny turned
and so i picked up my bravery
like picking up glass pieces on the floor
and i'm sending it to you
i wonder whether if it will arrive first
or if -
nevermind,
