When it comes to proofreading and editing I’ve become lazy. Also it’s not fun. Although recently I found a new way to proofread. I write everything on my iPad, in google docs. Instead of reading everything I select everything and there’s a speak option, with the copy, and paste stuff.

I choose this route because when I read I my stuff, I don’t correct it. I also don’t wanna read it out loud. I’m too lazy for that, and I sometimes don’t wanna wake up my family. That’s why is have Siri(idk if it’s actually Siri) read everything. Honestly I’m glad this feature is here. It works across all applications, and in browser as well.

I don’t know any other devices have this. But I can hear all my mistakes, and it sounds funny sometimes.
Like this one sentence, “The science between them continues.” Was supposed be, “The silence between them continues.” There were other mistakes like missing words.
For example this one, “Do have any maps?” What it was supposed be, “Do you have any maps”
Honestly the line, “Do have any Maps?” Sounds like something from Shakespeare. This all from Ch.4 of forest of puns.

@ChickenBakuba thats one to think of it. Yep getting early access to their work can be a plus! Though for me I still see editing as a pain.

I always thought of editing as getting an early access pass to a new chapter. I mean, editing other ppl’s works

But honestly i don’t understand how you can write your story without it being perfect. Normally i’d thoroughly reread it multiple times to get rid of all mistakes.

True, Google Translator's read-aloud function is quite convenient to use for final reviewing — when you've read the same paragraphs so many times, you start to just skim over them and miss a few things.
