Whenever I am asked a question, I hide behind half truths.

My mom asked me one day what was my favourite movie, instead of telling her my favourite movie, I named some popular horror film I liked well enough but was never a favourite of mine.

When I asked myself why I hid behind a half truth later, I came up with a pathetic reasoning.

I hate conversing with myself. It always leads to unpleasant realisations.

      I once realized that I used to do something similar: where I’d deliberately make myself seem stupider, so that when I asked questions I was worried would come across as dumb, it wouldn’t be seen as abnormal or something to make fun of. I’m pretty sure I’ve stopped doing this as I’ve become more confident in myself.
