So, today I randomly remembered a song from my childhood that I liked and started trying to search around to see if I could find it.
Right now you're probably thinking why I would want to hear those super cringy upbeat songs that everyone listens in their childhood... And while I certainly heard those a fair amount, those are not the childhood songs that stuck to my head.
No, the songs that stuck to my head were the ones I heard while I was on the car going to another city with my parents, which was a very regular occasion because pretty much the entirety of my family lives in another city. And well, when you have to take a 1+ hour trip with 3 children in the car, it is wise to not put some super upbeat songs that will make them excited, for the sake of your own mental sanity and stuff... Or at least that's what I think that went through my parents' minds, because I stopped hearing our usual collection of car songs altogether once I became a teenager, and I never had any control over them...
So, what were those songs anyways? Well, it was stuff like this:
I think it was certainly a good pick to keep your children calm... Also happens to be a beautiful song that I really like and with a singer that happens to have a voice that honestly sounds like an Angelic Chorus, so... I always loved Enya's songs~
And it's nice to hear it now that I can actually understand English, because the lyrics are really beautiful, like... Dear God! I wish I had known it before! xD
So I went on a downloading spree of a bunch of Enya songs that I remembered from my childhood after this one, it was pretty fun... I wonder why we stopped hearing those, I love them~
Anyways, that was my morning, felt like writing something about it because I guess it's a bit unusual to associate those songs with childhood~
