Songs and what do I make out of it

There are people who like a song more for it's tunes and beats and tend to not focus on the lyrics. There are the the type who can listen to a song and solve a math problem at the same time.

But I am not one of them. I usually tend to focus on the lyrics as well. Along with the tune and beats. Songs bring out feelings in me. And the songs which don't evoke any feeling in me except that of irritation and confusion are usually out of my list. I usually also look at the music video and if it appeals to me.

While I can't listen to songs while trying to focus on work, I can sing or hum by myself while doing those things. My mom has opinions for everything. She is in the opinion that if I sing while working my work won't be good. I believe singing/music tunes our mood as well. If we sing a soothing/happy song while doing a long boring task it becomes more interesting...

What genre I am into? I like pop songs, fusion songs of Bollywood, edms etc.

I definitely like them for many reasons, the music, tunes and beat ofc. Along with lyrics and the video which gives me feelings...

      I like listening to music while I do house chores or work out, it makes the activity much more enjoyable :blob_grin: I can't concentrate on taking in info though if I'm listening to songs with text in a language I understand xD

      Music is a powerful thing. It is a medium with which people can share their feelings and emotions while at the same time being an actual source of income for others.

      Music is nothing. Music can be made from random sounds and my favorite rendition of such chaos is Wrecking the Camp in the Disney film Tarzan. It is a beautiful wreck and can be entertaining and witty.

      But music can also be a definite something. It can be solved like a math problem or experimented like a science project. The rhythm and chords used can evoke specific emotions if done right and can shape a story. Again, Disney makes great use of this by making their lyrics tell the story, but most of all, I look towards Classical music. Without lyrics, composers way back when could paint a picture worth more than a thousand words without saying a thing. Look at Planets. Mars, specifically. It is such a powerful and aggressive piece that carries a sense of grandness to it, like introducing a god as well as a planet.

      But most of all, music is everything. The sounds all around us and the sounds we grow up with can be identified and recognized, bringing up a different emotion. In more modern music, police sirens and gunshots are used to signal violence and crime while still being a part of the music. And to this, I actually bring up modern EDM artists. They take random sounds, incorporating the nothing of music and turning it into something, combining emotion and logic together to create a compelling piece that gets us to move and dance.

      I like all sorts of music if you couldn't tell, and while the lyrics may be an important part of the song, I can focus on the background of the song and recognize the feeling the artists wanted to convey there as well.

      So i can say my music streaming service while playing a game or doing homework. Music is a background thing for me as it became almost a second nature to me.

      Lyrics are nice, but my main music playlist consists of guitar music covers with 0 lyrics.

      I too focus on the lyrics but whenever i have to work, i always listen to music because somehow it increases both my concentration and focus and makes me feel relaxed.
      And oh yes the amv is better than the original alright. Your recommendations always work lol.
